When excitement turns into disappointment! That's what happened after I suggested to Mommy D to make escabeche, and she used ingredients that I thought were not right with the recipe. When she planned to put fried banana in it, I just raised my eyebrows but never complained. I just question it for a bit. But then, when she mixed white corn in, I raised my eyebrows even more and asked Mommy D: "Is that bulalo? Why corn?" But she just said that it will taste good. Seriously, I am so disappointed. I felt like her experiments this time were a bit too much, like, WHY MOTHERBELLS?. ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌

I just finished washing a few of my dirty clothes, and after hanging them, we immediately went to visit the market to buy ingredients for our lunch. The other day, the fish was really expensive, like, the Lagidlid was sold for 300 pesos per kilo. That's too expensive, man! While chicken meat price has gone down, from 250 to 210. That's a huge change, no? And so the plan is to just buy chicken meat, AGAIN! We're eating chicken so much that any minute now I feel like we'll also grow wings just like them. Lol. No choice though, if only fish were not that expensive.

And then... Surprise, the Lagidlid today is much cheaper compare the other day and now 180 per kilo. And because we're really sick of eating chicken, I just bought half kilo of Lagidlid. After getting what we need in tge market, we take the other route going back home to find cooked vegetable dish.

And while doing that, we had quick stop in two of the Thrift Shop and Mama found three clothes which is just the same price of the shirt I bought week ago, 10 pesos each, haha - and she bought three shirt and all are good quality. It's a happy finds yeah! Uno and Bebe mess with few of Mama's clothes and that's why she has to buy new ones, lol.

We arrive home and Mommy D proceed cleaning the fish. I'm the one who fry it though. After that Mommy D asked me to fry the banana as well. At first, I thought it would be our morning snack, but thennnnnnn, it's not. Lol. She's actually planning to mix it in the Fish Escabeche.

By the way, i'll be sharing the recipe of our Escabeche, it's Mommy D's version! We just need onions, garlic and ginger. Put salt, MSG and pepper too, the more the better.

We usually used fresh Turmeric here but we don't have it today so we just used Turmeric Powder. We poured three cups of water next, turn in the stove and let it boil.

Cook it until the fish soften a little. Just like this! It's done! And surprisingly, those bananas and corn goes well with escabeche. I thought I won't like it but, I ate lots of rice thanks to this. Moreover, I enjoyed the banana and the corn that Mom mix in it, like a sides.
