Today Iam here with a veggie & non veggie mix, which can be throughly enjoyed with the white rice. Very tasty to tour taste buds and will definitely be enjoyed by the children, adult and elders. So let's begin. Here is a picture of the prepared curry.
**INGREDIENTS REQUIRED **
- DRUM STICK - 1
- TOMATO - 1
- PRAWN - 200 gm.
- WATER - 1 Glass
- TURMERIC POWDER - 1/2 Tsp.
FOR GRAVY
- COCONUT GRATED - 1/2 OF 1 COCONUT
- SHALLOTS- 2 Or 3
- GARLIC- 2 Clove
- TURERIC POWDER - 1/4 Tsp.
- CHILLI POWDER - 1/2 Tsp.
- CUMIN SEEDS - 1/2 Tsp.
FOR TEMPERING
- COCONUT OIL - 1 Table Spoon
- MUSTARD SEEDS - 1/2 Tsp
- FENUGREEK SEEDS - 1/4 Tsp.
- SHALLOT - 1
- DRY RED CHILLI - 1
- CURRY LEAVES - A Hand full
PREPARATION METHOD
STEP - 1
Clean the Drumstick and cut into 2 inches in length. Later, slit each into two equal halves vertically. Keep aside. Take one medium sized tomato and cut them vertically into thin slices, so that it cooks fast. Also, clean the prawns throughly by adding a little rock salt.
STEP - 2
Take a thick bottomed vessel and put the slit drumstick, tomatoes, prawns chillie and curry leaves along with a glass of water and turmeric powder. Add salt to taste. Put them in high flame and bring it to boil. Once it starts boiling,reduce the flame, and close it with a lid and let it cook in stove for 8 to 10 minutes.
STEP - 3
In the meantime, prepare the coconut gravy. Grind the coconut, cumin, shallots , garlic along with turmeric and chilli powder, to a fine paste. And add them to the cooked ingredients. Once it starts to boil, switch off the flame. Never let it boil too much because the taste reduces once it boils too much.
STEP - 4
Lastly, keep a skillet. To it add some coconut oil, mustard sèeds, fenugreek seed, shallots, red chilli and Curry leaves. Once it splutters, pour it to the curry.
And your yummy curry is ready to be served with hot rice.
