Hello, my hive friends!
It's me again simplechalyns🤗. How are you feeling right now? We felt cold weather here in the Philippines specifically in the Northern part of Cebu. Hope you're doing well today😊.
One of my hobbies is cooking. It may be a simple dish but it is special for my family. Most of my cooks were only my self-discovery and some of these were thought by my mother. I felt happy when I see my family is happy with what I prepared.
Anyways, I wanted to share with you one of the Chicken dishes that my children love to eat, the Chicken stew with Potatoes and Carrots.
Chicken may be a favorite of all, right? Chicken can be cooked in many types of dishes. It can be cooked in adobo (fried) or in soup. All types of cooked were tasty. Chicken also was the favorite of all children and for the older ones, as well especially native chicken will be cooked with soup and lemongrass. Hmmn! When you smell the aroma, you get starved and hungry!
THE INGREDIENTS
1 to 2 pcs. of Potatoes
1pc of Carrot
3 cloves of Garlic
1 to 2 tbs. of cooking oil
2 teaspoons of cornstarch
1tbsp. of soy sauce
1/2 tbsp of salt to taste
Magic Sarap ( optional )
THE PREPARATIONS
Step 1. Slice the Carrot, potatoes, and chicken meat into your desired size.
Step 2. Prepare the casserole and set the heat to medium temperature.
Step 3. Put the cooking oil and add the minced Garlic and wait until it turned into golden brown.
Step 4. Add the chicken meat and stir thoroughly. Put the lid on and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 5. Put the sliced carrots and wait for 1 minute until it softens.
Step 6. Add the sliced potatoes and wait for 1 to 2 minutes. Observed if the aroma started to smell
Step 7. Add 2 to 3 cups of water and wait to boil and then add soy sauce and cover.
Step 8. Dissolve the cornstarch with water and add this to our dish to make our soup a little bit sticky.
Step 9. Let it boil for 5 to 10 minutes to soften all the vegetables and the chicken meat as well.
Step 10. Add salt or magic sarap to taste.
Step 11. Check if the meat and the veggies were softened if not, then extend it another minute to make it soft.
Step 12. We can now serve our Chicken Stew with carrots and potatoes.
A simple and easy-to-prepare dish for our kids. It's healthy and yummy as well. It is a simple dish but we treat it as a special dish especially we, my family, who eat it together🥰.
That's all for now my hive friends!
Thank you for your love and support. God bless everyone.
