Cheese (Paneer) is a great source of protein. Made of milk, it is also a complete food. Of all the interesting and shahi things that can be made with paneer, paneer kathi roll is one if my favourites and I can relish it anytime, anywhere. The crisp role is an absolute delight. Lets see how we make it.
Kitchen Standing Time
15 minutes
Accompaniments
Tomato Ketchup, Mint Chutney
Ingredients
• 1 cup wheat flour
• 200 gms cheese
• 1 Chopped onion
• ½ TBSP Red chilli flakes
• ½ TBSP oregano
• ½ TBSP Black Pepper
• Salt as per taste
• Oil for making breads
• Mayonnaise
• Tomato Ketchup
• Green Chilli sauce
Method
Step 1: Take Wheat Flour in a big bowl. Kneed into a dough. It has to be a regular dough, like we do to make chapatis.
Step 2: Grate the paneer in a bowl. Add chopped onions and all the spices in the right proportion. Mix well.
Step 3: Take a small portion of the dough and make a flat, circular bread out of it. Note that it should be slightly thicker than a chapati but not too thick.
Step 4: Heat oil on a tawa. Cook the bread on both sides. Take it down on a flat surface.
Step 3: Take a small portion of the paneer mix and spread it on the bread.
Step 4: Add mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, green chilly.
Step 5: Now roll the bread gently ensuring the paneer filling is intact.
Step 6: Serve hot with tomato ketchup or mint chutney.
