A pleasure to be part of this beautiful community, I am new here and like all of you I enjoy trying new things and living unique gastronomic experiences.
Today I want to share with you a great experience I had trying different burgers in an event that happens in my city (La Paz, Bolivia), called “Burger Week”. It consists of 2 weeks where several restaurants in the city offer different options of hamburgers, the interesting thing is that they create unique dishes that can only be enjoyed on those days.
It is something very innovative because you can try new things and with a very unique style of each restaurant, this time I was able to try 6 options of the many that were made available.

This time I was very lucky, because not only I tasted delicious dishes, but I had impeccable service in each of my visits. As most of you should do, foodies not only taste the dishes but also evaluate the whole experience offered.
In my case I like to try different types of food, from different countries and the different fusions that can exist and create. I consider myself a lover of the new and unique.
Now entering my experience, I want to tell you that to choose among the many options I first made a brief review of the offers, this could get it on the official page of the event via Facebook, then I chose those that caught my attention, but also that would be close to where I live, then I had to choose about 6 restaurants.
Of these I was able to visit 3 until today, due to time issues that also allowed me to visit only these but the truth was a great choice that I will tell you later. In this type of visits I think the ideal is to go accompanied because you have the opportunity to try more options, and that's what I did, I went with a friend and therefore I could try 6 options.
Something that made things easier was that each restaurant put on the menu between 2 to 3 proposals of burgers, so you could choose between them, which also helped a lot is that each local put a brief description of their products which made it easier to choose.
To visit the first place that caught our attention, we were a little disappointed because we had a bad experience with a previous restaurant, where we waited a long time for our order to be served, only to be told that it was going to take longer to be prepared after an hour and more of waiting. Because of this and the poor service we received, we had to cancel our order and leave.
Already the day of the visit to the first place, it changed our mood and I think it even made our week, we had already visited this first restaurant before, mostly for breakfast. But this time we were going to try their main dishes, this one was called “DT Brew House”.
So we ordered 2 of the 3 hamburger options they offered, the first one was called “calypso”, they had special brioche style bread on a bed of fresh lettuce mix, cherry tomato and chili, premium juicy meat of the house, seafood sauce and a crunchy crab, topped with lemon and crayfish. Plus, chips and soda.

The other burger is called “pepito burger”, which had brioche bread, garlic mayonnaise, premium hamburger, lettuce, tomato, ham, bacon, chorizo slices, pork belly, grilled mozzarella cheese, fried egg and bathed with cheddar cheese sauce. As a side dish, also fries and soda.

I'm sure when you read all that these burgers had, you can imagine and crave, and I assure you, tasting them was really delicious. Each ingredient seemed to go in harmony with the others, and made a unique harmony on the palate. But I not only want to give applause to the food but also to the excellent service we were given, the waiter we had was very attentive and kind, very well deserved the tip we gave him hehe.
Moving on to the second place we visited, it was something very curious because it was a German style restaurant, where mostly people gathered to share time with friends and a couple of beers, although I do not usually consume it, I was quite interested in the burgers they offered.
Something very nice about the places you visit is the expectation you have, whether good or bad, but in the end you are fascinated, it is something unique that surely many of you have experienced. This is what happened to me during my visits to these places.
As I was telling you, the second restaurant was called “Oktober”, here they offered 2 options, I personally was only attracted to one, but here comes the good thing, as I was accompanied then I could try both options.
The first option was called “nacho burger”, it was Mexican style, as you can see in the picture, green bread with sesame seeds, with a volcano of guacamole sauce and cilantro inside. In the center a juicy beef, pico de gallo, melted cheddar cheese, lettuce and fresh tomato. Accompanied by crispy nachos topped with cheddar cheese and to drink it could be soda or beer.

On the other hand, the second option was called “carnitas burger”, it had a black sesame bun, grilled pork with melted cheese, accompanied by shredded matambre cooked on a bed of chicken, spices, vegetables and barbecue sauce, with lettuce and fresh tomato. And with a side of french fries with a touch of garlic and oregano.

As you can see, and now I am realizing hehe, that these options were Mexican and had no relation to the place, but as I told you this is where the chefs play with our expectations and I must tell you that I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors were incomparable, all the combination of flavors that were felt, wow it was a delight.
And everything together, from the burgers to the side dishes, played an important role in making the taste delicious. But something else to add, the service was also impeccable, from the time we sat down at the table, placing and receiving the order, to the time we left. I really loved everything.
And to close this little tour, today we went to our third stop called “Ciclik”, this place we had not visited either, what I really liked was the atmosphere and decoration, it looked like a factory, but also a place to go to share with friends and watch games (that is a sports place).
Here we ordered the “chik-fill-a burger”, which had crispy fried chicken breast stuffed with a creamy melted mozzarella cheese, complemented with fresh cabbage lettuce, juicy tomatoes and pickles, topped with crispy bacon, all accompanied by their special Chik-Fill-A sauce between a soft golden brioche bun. And with some crisscut fries and their soda.

And the other “hashbrown burger”, which featured beef stuffed with melted cheddar cheese, accompanied by fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and a perfect fried egg, all enhanced with crispy bacon strips and their All-American sauce. Instead of bread, 2 crispy golden hashbrowns, with yucca chips and their respective soda.

It was really another success, tasting these combinations was something very delicious, it is like feeling the love they put into the food in your whole being, it is something very nice indeed, to live these culinary experiences. Accompanied by a pleasant attention, a nice atmosphere and good company.
Many of you must feel all this, because it goes beyond just eating something new, although it is very important the products used, the quality, the cooking, the flavor combinations, but I think a meal is good when you also feel that the cooks put that love, that passion, the seasoning necessary for the customer to be more than satisfied.
Beyond presuming my experience hehe, I want to connect with you with those feelings and unique emotions that those of us who like to try new things feel, I'm sure you have felt it before, the truth is very nice.

Disfrutando bajo la lluvia… de hamburguesas
Un placer ser parte de esa linda comunidad, soy nueva por aquí y como todos ustedes disfruto de probar cosas nuevas y vivir experiencias únicas en lo gastronómico.
Hoy quiero compartirles una gran experiencia que tuve probando distintas hamburguesas en un evento que pasa en mi ciudad (La Paz, Bolivia), llamado “Burguer Week”. El cual consiste en 2 semanas donde varios restaurantes de la ciudad ofrecen distintas opciones de hamburguesas, lo interesantes es que crean platillos únicos que sólo se los puede disfrutar esos días.
Es algo muy innovador porque uno puede probar cosas nuevas y con un estilo muy único de cada restaurante, en esta oportunidad pude probar 6 opciones de las muchas que pusieron a disposición.

En esta ocasión tuve mucha suerte, porque no solo probé platillos deliciosos, sino que tuve un servicio impecable en cada una de mis visitas. Como la mayoría de ustedes debe hacer, los foodies no sólo probamos los platillos sino también evaluamos toda la experiencia ofrecida.
En mi caso me gusta probar distintos tipos de comida, de diferentes países y las diferentes fusiones que puedan existir y crear. Me considero una amante de lo nuevo y único.
Ya entrando a mi experiencia, quiero contarles que para elegir entre las tantas opciones primero hice una breve revisión de las ofertas, esto podían conseguirlo en la página oficial del evento vía Facebook, entonces fui eligiendo aquellos que me llamaron la atención, pero también que me quedarán cerca de donde vivo, entonces debí elegir como 6 restaurantes.
De estos pude visitar 3 hasta el día de hoy, por temas de tiempo también que me permitió solamente visitar estos pero la verdad fue una gran elección que les iré contando más adelante. En este tipo de visitas creo que lo ideal es ir acompañado porque tienes la oportunidad de probar más opciones, y es lo que hice, fui con un amigo y por eso pude probar 6 opciones.
Algo que facilitó las cosas fue que cada restaurante ponía en el menú entre 2 a 3 propuestas de hamburguesas, entonces podías escoger entre éstas, lo que también ayudo bastante es que cada local ponía una breve descripción de sus productos lo que hacía más fácil elegir.
Para visitar el primer lugar que nos llamó la atención, la verdad estábamos algo decepcionados porque habíamos pasado una mala experiencia con un restaurante anterior, donde esperamos muchísimo tiempo a que nos sirvieran nuestro pedido, sólo para que después de 1 hora y más de espera, nos dijeran que iba a demorar más tiempo en preparar. Por estos y por la mala atención que recibimos, tuvimos que cancelar el pedido y retirarnos.
Ya el día de la visita al primer lugar, nos cambió el ánimo y creo que hasta nos alegró la semana, a este primer restaurante ya lo habíamos visitado antes, para desayunar más que todo. Pero en esta oportunidad íbamos a probar sus platos fuertes, este se llamaba “DT Brew House”.
Entonces pedimos 2 de las 3 opciones de hamburguesas que ofrecían, la primera se llamaba “calipso”, tenían pan especial de la casa estilo brioche en una cama de mix de lechugas frescas, tomate cherry y chilto, carne jugosa premium de la casa, salsa de mariscos y un crocante de cangrejo, coronado con limón y cangrejito de río. Más su acompañante, papas chips y soda.

La otra hamburguesa se llama “pepito burguer”, que llevaba pan brioche, mayonesa de ajo, hamburguesa premium, lechuga, tomate, jamón, tocino, rodajas de chorizo, panceta de cerdo, queso mozzarella gratinado, huevo frito y bañado con salsa de queso cheddar. Como acompañante, también papas fritas y soda.

Seguro al leer todo lo que tenían estas hamburguesas pueden imaginarse y antojarse, y se los aseguro, probarlas fue realmente muy rico. Cada ingrediente parecía que iba en compas con los demás, y hacían una armonía única en el paladar. Pero no solo quiero dar aplausos a la comida sino también al excelente servicio que nos ofrecieron, el mesero que tuvimos la verdad fue muy atento y gentil, muy merecida la propina que le dimos jeje.
Pasando al segundo lugar que visitamos, fue algo muy curioso porque era un restaurante al estilo alemán, donde más que todo la gente se juntaba para compartir el rato con amigos y con un par de cervezas, si bien yo no suelo consumirlo, me interesó bastante las hamburguesas que ofrecían.
Algo muy lindo de los lugares que uno visita es la expectativa que tiene, ya sea buena o mala, pero que al final te termina fascinando, es algo único que seguro varios de ustedes han vivido. Es lo que me pasó durante mis visitas a estos lugares.
Como les contaba, el segundo restaurante se llamaba “Oktober”, aquí ofrecían 2 opciones, a mí personalmente sólo me llamaba una la atención, pero aquí entra lo bueno, como estaba acompañada entonces pude probar ambas opciones.
La primera opción se llamaba “nachoburguer”, era estilo mexicano, como pueden ver en la foto, pan verde con sésamo, con un volcán de salsa de guacamole y cilantro por dentro. En el centro una jugosa carne de res, pico de gallo, queso cheddar derretido, lechuga y tomate fresco. Acompañado por nachos crujientes cubiertos con queso cheddar y para beber podía ser soda o cerveza.

Por otra parte, la segunda opción se llamaba “carnitas burguer”, tenía un pan negro con sésamo, carne de cerdo a la parrilla con queso fundido, acompañado de matambre desmechado y cocinado en un fondo de pollo, especias, verduras y salsa barbacoa, con lechuga y tomate fresco. Y con un acompañamiento de papas fritas con un toque de ajo y orégano.

Como se pueden dar cuenta, y ahora yo me voy dando cuenta jeje, que estas opciones eran mexicanas y no tenían relación con el lugar, pero como les comenté aquí es donde los chefs juegan con nuestras expectativas y debo decirles que me lleve una grata sorpresa. Los sabores eran incomparables, toda la combinación de sabores que se sentían, wow fue una delicia.
Y todo en conjunto, desde las hamburguesas hasta los acompañamientos, jugaron un papel importante para que el sabor sea delicioso. Pero algo más que agregar, el servicio también fue impecable, desde que nos sentamos a la mesa, hacer y recibir el pedido, hasta la hora de salida. Realmente me encantó todo.
Y para cerrar este pequeño recorrido, hoy fuimos a nuestra tercera parada llamada “Ciclik”, este lugar tampoco habíamos visitado, lo que me gusto bastante fue el ambiente y la decoración, parecía una fábrica, pero también un lugar para ir a compartir con amigos y ver partidos (o sea un lugar deportivo).
Aquí pedimos la hamburguesa “chik-fill-a burger”, que tenía pechuga de pollo frita crocante rellena con un cremoso queso mozzarella derretido, complementada con lechuga repollada fresca, tomates jugosos y pepinillos, coronada con crujientes de tocino, todo acompañado de su salsa especial Chik-Fill-A entre un pan brioche dorado y suave. Y con unas papas crisscut y su soda.

Y la otra hamburguesa “hashbrown burger”, que llevaba carne rellena de queso cheddar derretido, acompañada de lechuga fresca, tomates, pepinillos y un huevo frito perfecto, todo realzado con crujientes tiras de tocino y su salsa All-American. En lugar de pan, 2 crujientes hashbrowns dorados, con chips de yuca y su respectiva soda.

Realmente fue otro éxito, probar estas combinaciones fue algo muy delicioso, es como sentir el amor que le ponen a la comida en todo tu ser, es algo muy lindo la verdad, poder vivir estas experiencias culinarias. Acompañada de una grata atención, un lindo ambiente y una buena compañía.
Muchos de ustedes deben sentir todo esto, porque va más allá de sólo comer algo nuevo, si bien es muy importante los productos que se usan, la calidad, la cocción, las combinaciones de sabores, pero creo que una comida es buena cuando sientes también que los cocineros pusieron ese amor, esa pasión, la sazón necesaria para que el cliente quede más que satisfecho.
Más allá de presumirles mi experiencia jeje, quiero conectar con ustedes con esos sentimientos y emociones únicas que sentimos los que nos gusta probar cosas nuevas, estoy segura que lo han sentido antes, la verdad es muy lindo.
Espero no haberlos cansado con tanta descripción jeje pero traté de expresar todo lo que sentí estos días, y espero que les haya causado apetito del bueno jeje.
