We moved from Osaka to Kobe! 🇯🇵 Even though we were there only 3 nights (2 nights plus 1 night extension because we loved it!) I just wanted to share with you about this amazing soba place in Kobe, Japan called 鶏soba座銀 神戸本店 (That's what shown on Google Maps obviously :D). We were lucky enough to stay in a fancy hotel (well fanciest we have stayed at so far), Kobe Plaza Hotel West, right across the street from it.
The area we were staying in was really busy and close to chinatown, and this noodle place was just a stone's throw away from all the shopping on the main street.
When we walked in, the place looked minimalistic and modern. All chefs and workers are all male (as usual). We were blown away by the quality of the food. The udon was amazing, but honestly, we loved everything on the menu. The beef and raw egg on top of rice was a standout dish, and the sushi with a giant piece of medium cooked beef was out of this world.
They also had two types of udon, one dry with a dipping chicken thick soup and one with hot soup. I believe they were the same type of soup, just served differently. Love the texture of the udon.. super firm and chewy.. and you can see it's made fresh using the machine behind the chefs at the cooking station. I love this fact of japan!
The service was top-notch too. There was always a guy who could speak English there to assist and answer our questions, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I can honestly say that this is the kind of place that I could go to every day. If you're ever in Kobe, keep in mind that 鶏soba座銀 神戸本店 is the shit!!
