my mom had a birthday and I wanted to make her a marbled cake, the combination of vanilla and chocolate.
This dessert is not only wonderful, but it's also surprisingly easy to make with ingredients so common you can find them in almost every kitchen.
The first time I made this cake or pie, I did it mostly out of curiosity. I found it interesting to see how the chocolate mixture blends perfectly with the vanilla mixture. And well, after preparing it, I felt a little silly because there is no secret to it.
INGREDIENTS:
- 125 gr butter.
- 150 grams of milk.
- 6 eggs.
- 1 tablespoon baking powder.
- 1 tablespoon vanilla.
- 800 grams of leavening wheat flour.
- 125 grams of oil.
- 4 cup sugar.
- zest of one lemon.
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder.
PREPARATION:
Heat the oven to 350° F / 180°C.
Start by cream the butter with a little bit of oil and 2 cups of sugar until it dissolves and there are no lumps, and it is pale and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one by one, followed by the vanilla essence, liquid milk, the rest of the sugar, the grated rind of one lemon and stir lightly.
- Add the wheat flour and the baking powder previously sifted with encircling movements until everything is integrated.
- Now, grease the mold with oil and sprinkle it with flour. Add the cake mixture.
- To make the marbling: pour spoonfuls of cocoa alternately, then with a skewer stick or a knife, make swirling movements.
- Transfer to the oven for about 1 hour. When the time has passed, do the toothpick test and remove the cake from the oven, let it cool.

Hacer el marmoleado: verter cucharadas de cacao de forma alterna, luego con un palito de brocheta o un cuchillo, hacer movimientos como de remolino.
Trasladamos al horno durante aproximadamente 1 hora. Cuando haya pasado el tiempo, hacemos la prueba del palillo y retiramos la torta del horno, la dejamos enfriar.
