The place where the remains of Mahatma Gandhi , father of our Nation was cremated on 31 January 1948
Hey Ram - believed to be his last words, but its such a powerful message for people who believe in non-violence. Continuing from my last post, Raj Ghat was our next destination and what a peaceful ambience it has. The father of the nation believed in non-violence and Ramrajya was his ideal place with people following the moral values – justice, equality and truth. It did not relate to any particular religion though, rather an ideal kingdom of truth on earth, envisioned, based on the philosophy of Lord Rama while ruling Ayodhya, referred from our ancient epic Ramayana. For that to happen, people should have these moral values, with the governance respecting all religions and faiths. Unfortunately, we have gone in the opposite way, and this is a very big topic for debate, but I personally believe we should not hurt anyone, even unintentionally - kind of my philosophy of worshiping and believing in Lord Rama. Near the entrance that perfect sentence "A WORD UTTERED FROM A PURE HEART NEVER GOES IN VAIN" reflects the retrospection of our wrong doings as well as good work - if you hurt someone who has a pure heart, the consequence of it will never go in vain.
Coming back we visited the Gandhi Museum where "Truth is God" reminds again how this world would be, if everyone is truthful. Recently I was watching a video of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, where someone asked him, what would you ask God if you meet him ? And his answer was - you still have something to ask, even after you meet the God !!! I am sure, we meet him often in our everyday life in different forms. If you believe in "Truth is God" philosophy, he is definitely near you and comes in different forms to show you the way forward, and you will never be stuck in life. And this is across every religion.
