Hallo liebe Community,
heute möchte ich Euch unser neuestes Familienmitglied vorstellen. Da ja mein Sohn gerade 18 wurde und wir nur zu dritt auf einen fahrbaren Untersatz angewiesen sind, haben wir investiert. Wir hatten 2007 mal einen Mini Cabrio und seitdem ist dies das absolute Traumauto meiner Frau, dem sie immer wieder nachgeweint hat.
Also haben wir uns umgeschaut und nun einen Mini One Cabrio Baujahr 2008 gekauft. Mit 90 PS, denn für meinen Sohn muss es ja am Anfang nicht gar zu viel PS sein. Es war nicht eben leicht einen gut erhaltenen Mini aus diesem baujahr zu finden. Da wurden teilweise echte Schrottkarren zu horrenden Preisen angeboten. Aber nach etwas Suche wurden wir bei einem netten Ehepaar fündig, das seinen Mini gut gepflegt hatte und auch preislich nicht unverschämt war.
Als erstes habe ich den Mini richtig aufbereitet. Also Lederpflege, Kunststoffpflege, Gummipflege, Reifenpflege, Lackstift, Politur und Keramik Versiegelung. Ich denke das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen oder was meint Ihr? Für ein 14 Jahre altes Auto steht er da wie neu. Und er hat erst 85.000 KM auf der Uhr, was will man mehr?
Der Auspuff ist zwar stark angerostet, hält aber noch bis zum nächsten TÜV 01.2024. Dann kommt halt ein neuer dran, das kostet ja nicht die Welt. Dann haben wir hoffentlich noch viele Jahre Spaß mit dem Kleinen. Meine Frau zumindest ist überglücklich und genießt jede einzelne Fahrt. Wie sagt man so schön, happy wife happy life.

Today I would like to introduce you to our newest family member. Since my son just turned 18 and we are only three dependent on a drivable, we have invested. We had a Mini Convertible in 2007 and since then this is the absolute dream car of my wife, which she has cried over and over again.
So we looked around and now bought a Mini One convertible year 2008. With 90 hp, because for my son it must not be too much hp at the beginning. It was not easy to find a good Mini from this year. There were sometimes real junk cars offered at horrendous prices. But after a bit of searching we found a nice couple who had taken good care of their Mini and the price was not outrageous.
The first thing I did was to properly recondition the Mini. So leather care, plastic care, rubber care, tire care, touch-up stick, polish and ceramic sealant. I think the result can be seen or what do you think? For a 14 year old car it looks like new. And it has only 85,000 KM on the clock, what more could you want?
The exhaust is heavily rusted, but still holds up to the next TÜV 01.2024. Then just a new one comes on, that does not cost the world. Then we will hopefully have many years of fun with the little one. My wife at least is overjoyed and enjoys every single ride. As they say, happy wife happy life.
