Vor gut einer Woche hatte ich gesehen das Melon eine Rabatt Aktion anbietet,die Standard Mitgliedschaft ein Leben lang für 5 Dollar im Monat statt 15 Dollar.
Ein Netter Rabatt habe ich mir gedacht und zugeschlagen .
Aber vielleicht sollte ich erst einmal erklären was Melon überhaupt ist.
Melon ist eine Tochtergesellschaft von Streamlabs und erlaubt einen Stream zu Twitch direkt aus dem Browser zu starten,ohne dafür OBS oder eine ähnliche Software zu benötigen.
Klingt doch erst einmal richtig gut oder,fand ich auch und vielleicht kann ich das ja mal für mein Chromebook gebrauchen.

About a week ago I saw that Melon is offering a discount, the standard membership for a lifetime for 5 dollars a month instead of 15 dollars.
I thought that was a nice discount and bought it.
But maybe I should first explain what Melon is in the first place.
Melon is a subsidiary of Streamlabs and allows you to stream to Twitch directly from your browser without the need for OBS or similar software.
Sounds really good at first, doesn't it, I thought so too, and maybe I can use it for my Chromebook.
Die anfängliche Begeisterung hielt nur leider nicht lange an,den so wirklich ein Ersatz für OBS um mal schnell ein Spiel zu Streamen ist Melon nicht.
Man kann zwar wie ihr sehen könnt andere Fenster teilen,aber nur Tabs vom selben Browser haben auch Ton.
Wenn ihr also Corekeeper streamen wollt geht dies aber es wird weder Ingame Sound noch Ingame Musik mit übertragen.
Also dachte ich mir teste ich mal wie gut Stadia und Melon zusammen arbeiten und Spiel ein bisschen ESO.
Leider war ESO dank Melon nicht wirklich spielbar den immer wieder habe ich Input Lags erlebt,es war so gar so schlimm das ich öfters 4 Schritte gelaufen bin und dann wieder dort war wo ich gestartet bin.
Bei Geforce now welches in einem anderen Browser lief hatte ich solche Input lags nicht,nur hätten die Zuschauer mal wieder keine Musik oder Ingame Sounds gehabt.
Auch ein riesen Problem ist das man die einzelnen Fenster von Melon nicht in der größe anpassen kann oder bei anpassen kann das wo die Cam bei Game Streams ist.
Melon eignet sich also eher für Just Chatting oder vielleicht für Pen und Paper Streams oder Group calls,aber nicht für dafür Spiele zu streamen.
Der Preis von 5 Dollar im Monat ist schon unschlagbar aber trotzdem werde ich mir noch Lighstream Studio und Streamyard anschauen,die Idee Streams direkt aus dem Browser heraus zu machen finde ich nämlich richtig gut.
The initial enthusiasm lasted only unfortunately not long, the so really a replacement for OBS to quickly stream a game is not Melon.
You can as you can see other windows share, but only tabs from the same browser also have sound.
So if you want to stream Corekeeper you can but neither ingame sound nor ingame music will be streamed.
So I thought I'd test how well Stadia and Melon work together and play a bit of ESO.
Unfortunately ESO was not really playable thanks to Melon the over and over again I have experienced input lags, it was so bad that I often walked 4 steps and then was back where I started.
With Geforce now which ran in another browser I experienced such input lags not, just the viewers would have again no music or ingame sounds.
Also a huge problem is that you can not resize the individual windows of Melon or adjust where the cam is in game streams.
So Melon is more suitable for just chatting or maybe for pen and paper streams or group calls, but not for streaming games.
The price of 5 dollars a month is unbeatable, but I will still have a look at Lighstream Studio and Streamyard, the idea of streaming directly from the browser is really good.
