Letzte Woche hat die weltweit größte Bitcoin-Konferenz in Las Vegas stattgefunden, die jedes Jahr vom Bitcoin Magazine organisiert wird.
Die Konferenz wird jedes Jahr größer, dieses Jahr haben die Veranstalter 30K Teilnehmer gemeldet, was unglaublich ist.
Was ebenfalls unglaublich ist, ist dass es mittlerweile Rückenwind für Bitcoin aus der Politik gibt.
Noch vor ein paar Jahren hätten wir das für unmöglich gehalten, aber mit Krypto sind schon viele unmögliche Dinge Realität geworden.
JD Vance ist ein sehr talentierter Speaker, ihm werden gute Chancen nächster US-Präsident zu werden zugeschrieben. In seiner Keynote hat er dafür appelliert, wie wichtig es ist, sich als Bitcoiner und Krypto-Enthusiast auch weiterhin politisch zu engagieren.
Ein weiterer Trend, der sich zumindest in den USA abzeichnet, ist dass die CBDC-Pläne der Notenbank (digitale Zentralbankwährung, E-Dollar oder E-Euro) gestoppt und Stable-Coins wie Tether oder USDC eine Aufwertung erfahren könnten.
Schon heute haben Stable-Coins wie USDT eine dezentralere Alternative zu staatlichen Zentralbankwährungen geschaffen, bauen aber auf den US-Dollar auf und bergen auch ein gewisses Counterparty/Colleteral-Risiko, bieten auf der anderen Seite aber mehr Freiheiten als das zum Beispiel beim E-Euro der Falle wäre, wo sogar Obergrenzen für Wallets geplant sind.
JD Vance hat zum Schluss in seine Rede auch noch einen politischen Gedanken geäußert. Er meinte, dass Bitcoin politisch eher konservativ, rechts, AI hingegen eher links sei, und man sich als Bitcoiner daher auch mit KI beschäftigen sollte, um sinngemäß einen Ausgleich zu schaffen. Denke, dass er damit nicht ganz unrecht hat und was Wahres dran ist. Vor allem wenn ich an die Zensur-Bestrebungen (Alignment) und Wokeness von KIs denke, würde ich dem zustimmen.

Last week, the world's largest Bitcoin conference took place in Las Vegas, organized annually by Bitcoin Magazine.
The conference gets bigger every year, with organizers reporting 30,000 attendees this year, which is incredible.
What's also incredible is that there is now political support for Bitcoin.
A few years ago, we would have thought this impossible, but with crypto, many impossible things have already become reality.
JD Vance is a very talented speaker and is considered a strong contender to become the next US president. In his keynote speech, he emphasized how important it is for Bitcoiners and crypto enthusiasts to continue to be politically active.
Another trend that is emerging, at least in the US, is that the Federal Reserve's CBDC plans (digital central bank currency, e-dollar or e-euro) could be halted in favor of stablecoins such as Tether or USDC.
Stablecoins such as USDT have already created a more decentralized alternative to central bank digital currencies, but they are based on the US dollar and also carry a certain counterparty/collateral risk. On the other hand, they offer more freedom than would be the case with the e-euro, for example, where upper limits for wallets are even planned.
JD Vance also expressed a political somewhat controversial thought at the end of his speech. He said that Bitcoin is politically more conservative, right-wing, while AI is more left-leaning technology, and that as a Bitcoin user, one should therefore also engage with AI in order to create a balance. I think he's not entirely wrong and there is some truth to it. Especially when I think about the censorship efforts (alignment) and wokeness of AIs, I would agree with that.
