Thank you for taking a look at the engagement question #4 from the Dolphin Assemble Community.
Currently, there are some whales who are supporting new members with their mighty upvotes.
It is a wonderful feeling to get upvotes from whales but is this going to help these new members to grow on the platform or attract them to stay based on greed and incentives only.
A good mentorship programme can help to guide new members on what they need to do in order to build their own support base as well as how they can improve on their content based on their strengths.
Building new members without good incentive may not motivate them too.
Too much of anything may have negative effects. There is no perfect plan but how to have a better plan.
In every good intention and plan, there are always abusers that disappoint the implementers.
Dolphin Assemble Community is a community that is meant for Dolphins with 5132.24 HP ~ 51322.4 HP.
Many of us are contributing to the platform in certain ways. I have recently found out that there are about 40% inactive dolphins on Hive platform.
Are inactive dolphins the ones that needed guidance too but they had lost their passion and interest after being neglected?
Supporting others by upvotes may be great but it may not help to guide them to improve so a good balance is needed between mentorship and curation support.
Feel free to give your opinions as there is no right or wrong for this topic actually.
