Hey everyone, I'm a huge movie collector but one thing I hate about blu-rays is that they tend to have awful, butchered artwork. Movies that had wonderful theatrical posters are reduced to a mediocre photoshop stitch job. Vampire movies especially seemed to suffer from Twilightization. Every Vampire themed movie under the sun was branded with covers similar to Twilight. Buffy and Near Dark were two of the worst offenders so I set out to make myself a custom slipcover to hide that ugly artwork.
Just Look at that artwork, it isn't necessarily terrible but I wouldn't exactly say it captures the vibe of the movie either. I decided to go with the original movie posters that I loved so much.
The spine was made to match the iconic white movie poster. I know it's customary to have a synopsis on the back but with this just being a slipcover I decided that I would rather go all out with artwork instead. For the back I went with the lesser known movie poster.
And that's it! I hope you like my little project. Feel free to drop criticisms and tell me things you would have changed. Or maybe just share your thoughts on the movie. In any case, thanks for stopping by!
