Finally, the second season of 1923 is here. I thought it would never happen; it was two years in the making, and it felt like an eternity. Frankly, I thought the project would be abandoned after everything that happened with Yellowstone. Of all the universes related to the Dutton family, this part of the story is undoubtedly my favorite, the one that marks the struggle for the land they love so much, since 1883 was literally a journey to find that land.

Finalmente llegó la segunda temporada de 1923, pense que jamas pasaria, fueron 2 años para que llegara y pareció una eternidad, francamente pensé que el proyecto sería abandonado tras todo lo que paso con Yellowstone. De todo el universo relacionado con la familia Dutton, esta parte de la historia es sin duda mi favorita, la que demarca la lucha por la tierra que tanto aman, ya que 1883 fue literalmente un viaje hasta dar con la tierra.
The first season, as I said, centers on the Duttons' fight to keep their land from anyone who intends to take it, all amidst the family dynamics and the relationship with the Native Americans who also occupy the territory of the state of Montana. We meet Jacob and Cara Dutton, who are ranchers, and must face the threat of Irish immigrants after the aftermath of the First World War. At the same time, we meet Spencer Dutton, who after the war works as a hunter in Africa, where he meets Alexandra, which adds a love story to the series.
La primera temporada como decía se centra en la lucha de los Dutton por conservar sus tierras de todo aquel que pretenda ocuparlas, todo en medio de la dinámica familiar y la relación con los nativos americanos que también ocupan el territorio del estado de Montana. Conocemos a Jacob y Cara Dutton, que son ganaderos, que deben enfrentar la amenaza de inmigrantes irlandeses tras las secuelas de la primera guerra mundial. Al mismo tiempo conocemos a Spencer Dutton que tras la guerra trabaja como cazador en África, donde conoce a Alexandra, lo que añade la historia de amor a la serie.
One of the most impactful aspects of the series is the hardship faced by the Native Americans, highlighting the story of Teonna Rainwater and her time in a Christian school. This part of the story is what I'm most looking forward to, and how it connects with the Duttons, already knowing what the relationship of their descendants is and how that series ends. Plus, I'm always very drawn to stories about Native Americans.
Uno de los aspectos mas impactantes de la serie son las dificultades que pasan los nativos americanos, destacando la historia de Teonnah Rainwater y su paso por una escuela cristiana. Esta parte de la historia, es la que me tiene con mas espectativas y como se conecta con los Dutton, sabiendo ya cual es la relación de sus descendientes y como termina dicha serie, además que siempre me atraen mucho las historia de los nativos americanos.
The first episode of the second season doesn't disappoint; it picks up exactly where the first season left off. We see Spencer Dutton fighting to get to Montana to join the defense of the Yellowstone ranch. During his journey, things keep happening that make it difficult, but he's undoubtedly a strong and very capable character. He seems unstoppable, and so far, he's managed to overcome every obstacle that comes his way.
El primer capítulo de la segunda temporada no decepciona, da continuidad exacta a los acontecimientos finales de la primera, vemos a Spencer Dutton luchado por llegar a Montana para sumarse en la defensa del rancho Yellowstone, durante su viaje siguen ocurriendo cosas que se lo dificultan, pero sin duda es un personaje fuerte y muy capaz, parece imparable y hasta ahora ha logrado sortear todos los obstáculos que se le presentan.
Jacob and Cara Dutton are still standing, now facing what seems to be the most intense phase of the plan to take their land by the powerful Donald Whitfield, played by Timothy Dalton, who, in partnership with Banner Creighton, played by Jerome Flynn, will use all their power and resources to achieve it. Also in this first episode, the beautiful Alexandra teams up with her friend and manages to escape from London to go after Spencer in Montana. I think this part of the story will get a lot of attention because she's carrying the next generation of Duttons.
Jacob y Cara Dutton permanecen en pie, ahora enfrentado lo que parece ser la fase más férrea del plan por arrebatarles las tierras del poderoso Donald Whitfield interpretado por Timothy Dalton, quien asociado con Banner Creighton, de la mano de Jerome Flynn, usarán todo su poder y recursos para lograrlo. I'm very excited about the development of this second season; this is definitely the type of story I like to watch, and I think it's off to a great start. The cinematography is still spectacular, the cast is wonderful, and the plot is a great combination of love, drama, and the action that's always romanticized in the Wild West, but without leaving aside the Native Americans and the truth of how they were treated.
Estoy muy emocionado por el desarrollo de esta segunda temporada, definitivamente este es el tipo de historias que me gusta ver, y creo que esta a comenzado muy bien. La fotografía sigue siendo espectacular, el elenco es maravilloso, la trama es una gran combinación de amor, drama y la acción que siempre es romantizada en el lejano oeste, pero sin dejar a un lado a los nativos americanos y la verdad de cómo fueron tratados.
