Although the series ended on December 22nd of last year, I was able to finish it recently despite only being 6 episodes. The reason is that after the third episode, it seemed somewhat slow and boring to me, but I recently gave it a second chance and ended up liking the ending of the series.

Aunque la serie terminó el 22 de diciembre del año pasado, me fue posible terminarla recientemente a pesar de solo ser 6 episodios, la razón, que luego del tercero me pareció algo lenta y aburrida, pero le dí una segunda oportunidad recientemente y terminó gustandome el final de la serie.
I decided to make a first post about this series because I really liked everything related to the Dune universe when I discovered it, knowing that it is one of the oldest written works of fiction and everything that has expanded over the years, until achieving recent cinematographic success. It seemed to me that expanding this universe through a series would be fantastic, but I never imagined that it would be 10,000 years before the events of the films.
Decidí hacer una primera publicación sobre esta serie, porque me gustó mucho todo lo relacionado con el universo Dune cuando lo descubrí, saber que es una de las obras escritas de ficción más antiguas y todo lo que se ha expandido con lo años, hasta lograr el éxito cinematográfico reciente. Me pareció que ampliar este universo a través de una serie sería fantástico, pero jamás pensé que sería 10 mil años atrás de los acontecimientos de las películas.
The series was faithful to what I was saying in my first post, the political conflict and the game for control of power over the empire, is the premise of the series and is sustained until the last episode, making it clear that the next season will continue this theme. La serie fue fiel a lo que contaba en mi primera publicación, el conflicto político y el juego por el control del poder sobre el imperio, es la premisa de la serie y se sostiene hasta el último episodio, dejando claro que la siguiente temporada dará continuidad a este tema. La hermandad de mujeres decidoras de verdad, que serán conocidas más adelante como las Bene Gesserit, lleva adelante un plan muy ambicioso de colocar a una de sus miembros en el trono del imperio.
This is the exciting part of the series, which re-engaged me, the game of the most astute and intelligent to overtake the enemy, I found it excellent, because I really like mental games. The series lacks combat scenes, wars or physical contentions, there are few scenes of this type, but it is full of a lot of drama and actions that shed a lot of light on the modern conflict exposed in the films.
Esta es la parte emocionante de la serie, la cual me reengancho, el juego del más astuto e inteligente para adelantar al enemigo, me pareció excelente, porque me gustan mucho los juegos mentales. La serie carece de escenas de combate, guerras o contiendas físicas, son contadas las escenas de este tipo, pero si está llena de mucho drama y de acciones que esclarecen bastante del conflicto moderno expuesto en las películas.
To be more exact, the series tells the beginnings of why the conflict between the Atreides and the Harkonnens. The mother superior of the sisterhood, Valya Harkonnen, seems determined to restore honor to her house and avenge the death of her brother Griffin at the hands of an Atreides, she seems to achieve part of her revenge, since there is no character in the series on the part of the Atreides who has the protagonism, until the last episode arrives and you get a big surprise.
Para ser más exacto, la serie cuenta los comienzos del porqué del conflicto entre los Atreides y los Harkonnen. La madre superiora de la hermandad , Valya Harkonnen, parece estar empeñada en regresarle el honor a su casa y vengar la muerte de su hermano Griffin a manos de un Atreides, parece lograr parte de su venganza, ya que no hay ningún personaje en la serie de parte de los Atreides que tenga el protagonismo, hasta que llega el último episodio y te llevas una gran sorpresa.
I have been very careful in writing so as not to give any spoilers, but I think I have expressed enough to let you know that the series is quite good and entertaining, that it contributes a lot of lore to the Dune universe if you only know the story through audiovisual material. Another very interesting thing that happened with the series is that critics have categorized it as the new Game of Thrones, even HBO itself on its social networks posted a lot of comparative content, I think that the search for the successor to repeat what this series achieved, has found in Dune the Prophecy, a worthy successor.
He sido lo más cuidado al escribir para no dar ningún spoiler, pero creo haberles expresado lo suficiente como para hacerles saber que la serie es bastante buena y entretenida, que aporta mucho lore al universo de Dune si solo conoces la historia por el material audiovisual. Otra cosas muy interesante que ocurrió con la serie, es que la crítica la ha catalogado como la nueva Games of Thrones, incluso la misma HBO en sus redes sociales posteo mucho contenido comparativo, creo que la búsqueda por el sucesor que repita lo que logró está serie, a conseguido en Dune la Profecía, un digno sucesor.
