I just finished watching Heads of State on Prime Video and let me tell you, this movie was one of the funniest and most unserious things I’ve ever seen and I mean that in the best way possible. From the moment John Cena and Idris Elba crash-land into chaos, it’s pure madness, and I was here for every second of it. These two had me laughing with their nonstop bickering and wild antics. It felt like an action movie that forgot it was supposed to take itself seriously, and that’s what made it so entertaining.
But beyond the comedy, it was also full of twists. The big reveal of who the mole was actually caught me off guard, and I didn’t expect the story to go that deep with the betrayals. One part that really stuck with me was when the professor (I still can’t believe he actually died!) showed up to help toward the end. He was such a lovable, quirky character and honestly didn’t deserve that ending. Justice for the professor!
If you're someone who loves a good laugh and doesn’t mind when a movie leans into total ridiculousness, this one's for you. It had explosions, awkward alliances, unexpected betrayals, and just enough heart to keep you rooting for the characters even when they were being completely ridiculous.
For me, it’s a solid 8 out of 10. Not because it’s the smartest movie out there, but because it made me laugh hard, kept me guessing, and gave me exactly the kind of lighthearted chaos I needed.
