Avenger Endgame was the last marvel movie I watched until today. I feel like the age to watch these movies have gone for me, maybe the teenage is best for them, I don't know why I got this feeling. I still remember watching those 21 movies serially just to have the best vibe to enjoy marvel movies, those were the days. I haven't watched Spiderman’s last installment yet and here comes Thor: Love and Thunder today. But how? Here comes the Chillar party (my teen nephews) visiting me again. And they love this franchise a lot so I joined them too. Btw who’s your favorite marvel character? To be honest, I am a fan of Thor, Chris Hemsworth. Yeah, the majority would go for Iron Man and I love him too but I do like Chris Hemsworth personally and so I chose Thor over Iron Man. Are you considering Loki? Lemme know that too.
So the formal intro, Thor: Love and Thunder, a superhero film based on Marvel Comics, there are a total of four movies on this Thor character as follows Thor(2011), Thor: The Dark World(2013), Thor: Ragnarok(2017) and here comes the Thor: Love and Thunder in 2022. The film is directed by Taika Waititi. So this sequel would be easy to connect if you remember the Ragnarok one, where Thor had to face his sister Hella who was called the goddess of Death, she broke Thor’s hammer in the beginning and made them go through a lot of hardship, you may know the rest or go for that.
So here in the beginning we do get some flashbacks in the story, a few events from the past to connect the dots with the present here on this one. You would get to see that fatty look of Thor, hahaha, that was such a bad look because I love his fitness, actually whenever I mention about thor I start to relate him with his real-life personality as Chris Hemsworth. The story tart its way from a character named Gorr, who loses his daughter while struggling in a barren desert. His god Rapu didn't hear any of his prayers instead mocked him and so he renounces the god when Rapu tried to kill Gorr, the necrosword chose him to kill Rapu and he kills the god. Gorr was cursed to kill all the gods with this sword and he started to kill one after another in different realms lastly, it was the serial for the Asgardian god Thor.
On Ragnarok, we did see Asgard getting destroyed by Ragnarok and they moved to earth with its people because Odin said it was their new home. Surprisingly we would see Jane Foster using Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer which was broken into pieces by Hella in the previous one. She is the lady Thor here. So why is the movie named love and Thunder? Are there a lot of romances? Not so romantic scenes but yeah there is love, you would see in the beginning Gorr losing his loved child, we would see Thor and Jane’s love, their memories of being together, and their togetherness here too. And the most important Love and Thunder combo, in the end, what's that? Ah, that would be a spoiler so let's keep that secret to be revealed for you individually.
So how was the overall impression? I would say not bad, you should be knowing how it was. If I had watched that film alone then I might have lost interest in seeing these kinda fantasy movies anymore, idk. But yeah, we all did enjoy it together. If you are a marvel fan then you should go for it, at least for the sake of all those amazing ones we did enjoy in the past.
