Posts like this one I'm writing are the reasons James Gunn got on the Rick and Morty Episode, among other things it is so that there would be a lot of talk about it just before the new Superman movie resulting in some increased promotion for the movie.
But fuck it, I'm going to go ahead and write the post, doing exactly what they wanted us to do, free of charge. LOL. Because I fucking love James Gunn, and I love Rick and Morty 😀.
I love James Gunn for writing and directing Suicide Squad (2021), and for the Peacemaker Series with John Cena. That's one of my all time favourite Series. So, yeah, that's my dude and I want him to succeed with this Superman movie.
When they released the teaser the Superman movie already became the talk of the town. Everyone was talking about it and giving mad opinions. I can't have opinions on it till I watch the entire movie, I think a teaser/trailer is too small to have hot takes on.
The only major opinion I have is that it's sad they let Henry Cavil go. Henry Cavil is the best Superman ever! He has the perfect looks for it, and I wonder if anyone can top that. The new guy David Corenswet is great and all but no one touches Cavil.
Back to the James Gunn Rick and Morty Episode: that was such an impressive marketing move! The Superman movie comes out on the 11th of July, and the Episode with James Gunn came out on the 6th of July. Just at the right time to get everyone talking again in readiness for the 11th.
And the Episode is about Gunn writing a movie fans didn't like, hard to please fans, fans finding out there's nothing they can do and that they're better off taking it like it was made, etc.
They also had Zack Snyder in the Episode:
the guy who was in charge of Superman before Gunn. One got the impression Snyder was cool with the whole thing and isn't hating on Gunn and all that. That was lovely to see as a fan.
I'm just impressed by the whole thing, and predictably, I can't wait to watch the new Superman. I have a renewed zeal now, congrats to them on their entire moves working perfectly on me 😅.
