At first I thought ohhh this is tough. Because there are sooo many good movies and sooo many good songs.
But I have an alltime favourite movie, and an alltime favourite scene in this movie where the song is used, so for me, it is very easy to answer this question. 😃
Movie: Stand By Me by Stephen King
Song: Lollipop by The Chordettes
I love Stephen King! I started reading his books when I was still a child. It scared the hell out of me sometimes, but I just couldn´t stop, because the stories were so good! 😄
Of course I watched every Stephen King movie there is until today.
My most favourite movie is Stand By Me. It´s a very "untypical" Stephen King movie somehow. Death is still a part of this movie but only as a small sidestory. There is no horror aspect to it though, as in most of Stephen Kings stories.
This movie/story is about the friendship of 4 boys, who go camping and on a long walk to find a missing boy of their hometown.
It is hard to describe the feelings while watching this movie. It is so funny, emotional and sad at many points, because the friendship between these 4 boys kind of breaks up at the end of the movie.
The whole soundtrack is great! But my favourite song in it is Lollipop. The scene where it is used shows for me the good friendship between them, and the great time they had together. I just love the atmosphere so much!!
I will never forget this movie, and I still watch it from time to time. It reminds me of my own childhood friendships and how much I miss them somehow. This movie has such a nostalgic feeling attached to it. The look and the whole atmosphere is just awesome! It really is a masterpiece for me.
I hope you like the movie and the song as much as I do. And if you don´t know it yet, you should watch it! 😊
