Rounding up my first semester examination, I can't help but reminisce on the event's of the past 3 months.
One night around mid September, I got an unexpected admission letter into the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN). This singular message caught me off guard because school had long resumed, lectures had gone far and I had lost hope of being admitted.
For someone who hates unplanned activities, I felt very restless. I accepted the news with mixed feelings. I was going to be living in a whole new environment, I'll be about 5 hours drive away from my parents, living a life of total independence, I'll be in the midst of people from different backgrounds, cultures, a whole lot of differences. I asked myself "are you really ready to face the world?" But so far so good, I've been surviving.
Yes, everything haven't been the same. I've been very far from my friends, been lonely sometimes and it was a bit hard to adapt to the environment. I had to learn a new language by force😁, tolerate people's excesses, try to maintain my morals, not get lost in the crowd. In summary, I've been adapting.
School activities had reduced as Christmas break is near & everyone is about going for Christmas vacation.
I've honestly missed being consistent here and I'll try to be very active through out this short holiday, stay tuned!😊
