A virtuous person is characterized by moral excellence and a commitment to acting ethically, while a wicked person is inclined towards harmful or immoral actions. A virtuous person possess a strong sense of right and wrong and consistently strive to live up to their moral principles. There are many qualities that diffrentiate them from a wicked person. Qualities like tolerance and patience are key factors that keep the virtuous much above than the wicked. And the wicked consider these qualities as their weakness. To elaborate on this our ancient Sanskrit have following to say :
प्रशमश्च क्षमा चैव आर्जवं प्रियवादिता |
असामर्थ्यफला चैव ह्येते निर्गुणेषु सतां गुणाः ||
Prashamashcha kshamaa chaiva aarjavam priyavaaditaaa.
Asmaarthyaphalaa chaiva hyete nirguneshu sataam gunaah.
Prashamashcha = prashamah + cha. Prashamah = quiet, calmness.
Cha = and.
Kshmaa = forgiveness.
Chaiva = as also.
Aarjavam = honesty, sincerety
Asaamarthya = weakness.
Phala = as a result of.
Chaiva = also
Hyate = are called.
Nirguneshu = persons without any virtues i.e. mean and wicked persons.
Sataam = noble and righteous persons.
Gunaah = virtues.
i.e. Peaceful mind, forgiveness, honesty and being soft spoken, all these qualities of noble and virtuous persons are signs of weakness in the eyes of mean and wicked persons.
The idea behind the lines is that wicked people treating the virtues of noble persons as their weakness. They take undue advantage from them and get benefitted. It is important for noble person to take note of these exploitation at the hand of wicked and remain alert.
