Society is interdependent because no individual can satisfy all their needs alone, requiring cooperation and exchange with others for survival and well-being. Interdependence is a fundamental characteristic of human societies, fostering cooperation, economic growth, and social cohesion. Humans rely on others for essential goods and services such as food (farmers), clothing (tailors), shelter (construction workers), and healthcare (doctors). This phenomenon is besutifuly transcripted in following Sanskrit lines :
अरण्यं रक्षितं सिंहात्तस्मात्सिंहः सुरक्षितः|
इत्यन्योन्यस्योपकारे मित्रत्वं तन्निबन्धनं ||
Aranyuam rakshitam simhaatasmaatsimhah surakshitah.
Ityannonayasyopakaare mitratvam tannibandhanam.
Aranyam = a dense forest.

Simhaat = by the Tiger.
Tasmaat = on that account.
Simghh = the tiger.

i.e. A dense forest gets protected by the presence of tigers in it and the tigers also get protection by living in the forest. Thus, on account of inter-dependence with each other,a sort of bonding and friendship develops between them.
By sharing the example of Tiger and Forest, the author classifies their dependency. The same concept applies in human being. We are inter dependent of each other for our survival.
Interdependency, where individuals or entities rely on each other, is generally beneficial because it fosters collaboration, strengthens relationships, and promotes overall well-being. It allows for the sharing of resources, support, and skills, leading to enhanced capabilities and resilience in the face of challenges. However, it shpuod be noted that, Interdependence should involve mutual support and respect, allowing individuals to maintain their sense of self while also benefiting from the strengths of others.
