When you're in school, did you enjoy studying in the library?
I saw this question and I shook my head because I was never a fan of the library. It's not quite a long time since I graduated from the higher institution, and during my days, libraries were a big thing in school because we had a very big, fine, and well-stocked library where students trooped in regularly to study, either to write their assignments using the books in the library or just to read.
To me, the educational system is designed in a way that allows anyone to use any suitable studying method that works for them.
When I was in school, I was a big fan of studying in places that were far away from people, such as under a mango tree that people didn’t usually go to. Another place I liked was one of those classrooms that were not in use.
Anytime I got to any of these places, I would feel really good due to the quietness of the environment. It wasn’t filled with the usual noise from people, like voices, footsteps, or even the humming sound from the ceiling fans like we had in the library. The only sounds I heard were the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves as they danced on their branches.
In those days, whenever my friends looked around in the classroom and couldn’t find me, they always knew where to find me because I was always in those places. The good thing was that the kind of friends I had during my school days were people of the same mindset. We all loved quiet places for reading, doing our assignments, and studying as well. It was just one person among us who enjoyed the noisy lifestyle and loved to go to the library or other noisy places to read.
For assignments, I usually carried out my research using my phone, and I was able to get the exact details I was looking for. Yes, that saved me the stress of going to the library to search through books one after the other just to get an assignment done.
Thanks!
