TOPIC: Broom Making
CLASS: Primary 3
DURATION: 35min
SEX: Mixed
DATE: 7th April 2020
BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES:
During and the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:
i) Define a broom;
ii) Mention materials needed for broom making and;
iii) mention steps involved in broom making
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL:
A small knife, fresh Raffia, a rope, etc.
INTRODUCTION:
To introduce the lesson,the pupils will be asked to mention the materials used to keep our homes clean..
PRESENTATION
STEP 1:
Explain to the pupils that a Broom is simply an object used to keep our homes and surrounding neat and tidy...
STEP 2:
The materials needed for broom making include the following;
a) small knife
b) Fresh Raffia
c) A rope or twine
STEP 3:
To make a Broom; first detach the Raffia from it stem.👇👇👇👇👇
Use the small knife to scrape the green leafy part to reveal the broom.👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
After that, sun-dry the broom
Gather the broom and use the rope or twine to tie them together... your broom is ready for use..
