I'm here here again to discuss my good opinion about adolescence.
A
Adolescence is a turbulent time for most people. It’s understandable you’re overwhelmed with decisions about career, lifestyle and sex. As a male child, it’s even harder, you also have to make decisions about drugs, alcohol, family, etc. You’re under a lot of pressure to live up to society’s definition of “man.” Planning your life path can be especially difficult if you’re not prepared to deal with the situations you face.
To enjoy a crisis free adolescence and become a responsible adult, it’s essential that you have skills such as decision making, assertiveness and goalsetting. You also need to be able to take control of your life. The following tips will help you do just that:
Know your values
Your values are what you believe in, what you consider right and wrong and what is most important to you. The decisions you make will be based on your values. You get your values from a variety of sources, such as parents, family friends, religion, etc. However, don’t “borrow” other people’s values , let your values be your own.
Make a plan for your life
Many successful people set goals for themselves and are goal-oriented. Have a plan of what you want and how to achieve it. Never wait until you reach the bridge to look for ways to cross it , decide in advance what you want to achieve by a certain age.
Develop yourself
Your goals will remain dreams unless you develop yourself. Read books on a variety of topics; gather facts about successful people and how they dealt with the difficult situations they faced. In short, broaden your horizons.
Have a role model
A role model is someone you admire and respect; someone you admire and aspire to be like. Choose a role model and deal with problems the same way your role model would deal with your problem. However, it is not advisable to choose a TV star as a role model, as real life is often not as portrayed in movies.
Make Decisions
Decisions about careers, sex, drugs and alcohol are often some of the most difficult decisions you will have to make as a teenager.

Be Assertive
Being assertive means expressing your opinions on an issue without hurting the other person’s feelings. Behaviors that increase assertiveness include honesty, speaking up for yourself, communicating your feelings as they arise rather than waiting; and being direct, that is. using the word “I”. Communicate your feelings and don’t allow yourself to be pushed into doing things that are contrary to your values. However, don’t be aggressive aggressive behavior shows a lack of concern for the other person’s feelings.
Believe in yourself
Above all, believe in yourself. Many successful people are where they are today because of their confidence in their abilities. Talking and thinking positively about yourself helps you reach your goals faster. Believe that you can overcome any difficult situation and make it a success. Don’t let negative comments get in your way. Growing up is about making decisions some good, some bad. However, don’t let bad decisions get you down. A popular song sums it up: “There’s a hero if you look inside .
