This has been a month of packing, and a year that has brought major changes to my life.
I'll be saying goodbye to my home very soon! Another email this morning from the conveyancers to say that they've lodged with the Deeds office, which means the house we called home since 1974 will become the property of the new owners! They have been amazingly efficient!
I've been minimizing the past couple of years, and even more the past two months. Everything is on track with packing, so once the new home has been transferred, I will be saying goodbye.
It hit me today, as we finished disassembling hubby's large desk.
I ran out of that empty room, sobbing. I thought that was over?
He spent many hours planning our home renovations, drawing the building plans, and designing a little dream house by the sea. Or scrolling through the property pages and watching videos of some stunning coastal homes. Dreams are free after all!
That dream never came true, and now I'm heading a little inland to be closer to family. Starting a whole new life!
I'm looking forward to that, but at the same time, happy that the new owners want me to 'hold their hand a little' with the BnB, so I will be swimming around here for just a little while longer!
