I have been trying to get my friends and family on Hive for nearly two years now, with varying degrees of failure... but this time is going to be different! And it's Hive #PowerUpDay.
The first arm I twisted was my daughter's-- @sydney.potts-- who is technically still here, but I haven't managed to inspire much real engagement from her yet unless I force it. We're getting there.
I'm still finding my groove when it comes to introducing this world to people in a digestible way-- while contending with attention vacuums like #TikTok... that's a big part of the problem.
I'm all about solutions though, and I think it's worth the work in the end.
So I'd Like Y'All to Meet Someone...
@kpfreelance
Approach carefully though, don't make any sudden movements... we don't want to scare her away! She is a Canadian female human, a bit on the short side but cute as a button-- a mother to three young girls, a photographer and a hopeless cheese-ball...
And she likes weirdos too, apparently, so she should fit nicely into her new Hivian surroundings! 😋
We actually live in the same building and we've grown close over these last several months. Our kids seem to get along for the most part-- they go to the same school too-- and we're all just trying to feel our way through this new and mind-numbing world together.
Wish us luck!
If We Die, I Blame TikTok.
I'm half-kidding, of course (but THREE-QUARTERS totally serious). It may not necessarily kill us in most cases, but our brains won't be able to perform basic functions after a while.
Exhibit A: watch the ODYSEE video below.
Shh... it's okay. Everything's gonna be okay.
There Is Still Hope (Hive) For You.
That's why I've brought you here, @kpfreelance and @sydney.potts: so we can save your souls from this new drug, this societal monstrosity... Tick, tock... Tik Tok... Boom!
(That was everyone dying tragic and excruciatingly painful deaths.)
(See? Another tragic TikTok-related death.)
So help me help you. It'll work if you work it.
We are family... I've got all my sisters with me.
I'm surrounded by girls, actually... also a problem. That's why I need #Hive to help a brother out: not only for the awesome sauce into which we will submerge them, but I literally need some male humans to even the scale a bit. (Boys rule and girls drool.)
That is all.
Make My Peeps Feel At Home!
Give them a follow and a friendly nudge. My daughter, @sydney.potts, is only 11 years old-- so please interact accordingly and be patient... but @kpfreelance is a fully-grown adult human (a girl though, so patience is still required).
"Long live Hive.
Death to TikTok."

It's true. I'll shut up now.
