Even US state media can't hide the fact Omicron 2 (aka BA2) is just another variant of non-concern! Like Omicron 1, it spreads fast, ignoring masks and "vaccines", but is milder than the flu. Yet politicians all over North America and Europe are hyping up fear of Omicron 2 to justify continued Covid mandates and restrictions! They saw a large BA1 surge, and have been living with BA2 as the dominant variant since Christmas. In a string of recent studies, virologists have been estimating protection from BA2 conferred by mRNA vaccines, as well as by previous infections.
The vaccines offer minimal protection, which becomes negligible in four months. After seven months, vaccinated people are actually more likely to get sick than unvaccinated people. "Vaccinated people don’t behave the same ways - they think they are protected."
The team looked at immunity after a BA1 infection against BA2. It was even stronger and more durable, in the range of 90%. People who were infected with Alpha and Beta variants had 50% protection against Omicron up to a year later.
