Ireland is the latest country to announce that Covid has become endemic (permanent and manageable), ending all lockdowns, mandates, and passports! This comes soon after the UK went a step further yesterday by also ending mask requirements, saying they now "seek to live with the virus". Who will be next to return their citizens to the relative-freedom of 2019?
Common sense and human rights flood back in
Ireland and England join several places that already rejected Covid restrictions (Mexico, Florida, Texas, several South American countries, Denmark, India, etc) and places that never bothered with Covid restrictions at all (other South American countries, Sweden, most of the middle East, South Korea, the entire African continent, etc).
In fact, it's now easier to list the places WITH Covid tyranny in effect, than places rejecting it!

And there are a few more that could be added, but the point is, there is a spreading acknowledgement that Covid has gone endemic, and momentum has shifted toward ending restrictions. It's like a stalemate with the virus. If we've got any sense, we'll recognize that and stop our suicidal behaviour. Sadly, many places are still hanging on to the narrative, seemingly against all reason, but several key countries (and states) have now fully rejected lockdowns, mandates, and restrictions. The tide has turned.
How about South Africa?
I have been following South Africa closely, as they were the first major country to document omicron's impact. We can view the entire pandemic and South Africa's cases and deaths:
Cases have returned to a very low number, and deaths have begun to decrease in the past few days. They are finally completely past the danger from omicron, and their entire country now has lasting immunity.
In fact, due to the low vaccination rate there, they developed a lot of immunity in 2020 and 2021, so that when omicron happened, they experienced many mild cases but few hospitalizations. Western media has recently admitted omicron is only a threat here because we vaccinated instead of going for herd immunity. Oops.
The "oops" that collapsed the economy, decimated personal Liberty, and ruined hundreds of millions of lives. Something tells me a lot of vile creatures are squirming right now. Maybe not the top elites, but some of the figureheads, puppets, and dispensable tools are going to be tossed under the bus. There is some major ass-covering going on. And this story is far from over. It will take decades to fully sort out what happened in the past 2 years. And an entire generation to heal. But at least now, we might be able to begin.
"Complete reopening of society"
"Almost all remaining Covid-19 restrictions can be removed in a matter of days," said Ireland's National Public Health Emergency Team. People are literally dancing and hugging in the streets, and the pubs are gearing up for a big first night back.
Everything returns to full capacity, no more "essential" and "non essential" nonsense, no more lockdowns, no more "vaccine passports", no segregation and discrimination of unvaccinated, no business or school closures, no contact tracking, no social distancing, and no mandates!
For a time, there will be masks in some situations, and Covid "vaccines" will still be available - voluntarily.
"The variant is not as dangerous as first expected," explained an Irish government official. That's not an apology, but it's almost an "oops". At least they're admitting they overestimated it. That's close to admitting they overreacted. And ending restrictions is de facto admission they overreacted. Besides, the proof is in the pudding - the restrictions didn't work! The "vaccines" not only don't stop the virus, they don't even reduce hospitalization! The whole narrative has collapsed, and the backpeddling has begun. It would be beautiful to see, if everything wasn't so tragic.
Covid-19 went endemic, as all respiratory viruses do on their own. But experts are already claiming victory for the mRNA shots, which is absurd to even the most dedicated pro-vaxxer. Covid is over in spite of the global injection effort, not because of it.
It's not over until ALL restrictions are over
As I've said literally since day 1 (March 2020), any restriction on our freedom must be justified by a true emergency, and must be undone when the emergency is over. Whether or not you believe the restrictions, mandates, and other measures were necessary, when Covid is over, they're over too. ALL of them!
We need to figure out how to go onward from here. No, we can't go back to 2019, but that doesn't mean we have to allow any of the Covid-era measures to become part of life from 2022 onward, either. Covid is - or is becoming - endemic. It joins hundreds of other endemic viruses that humanity has learned to live alongside. We can't eradicate them (with current technology), but thankfully, they also can't eradicate us. Most of the time, we don't even know they're there. Other times, we get a "common cold". It has been this way for thousands or millions of years.
Now, Ireland has come to its senses, and the leprechauns are dancing again.
