I still cannot understand some of the reporters inclined to Assange, who characterized extradition block as a ‘monumental victory’. To me, it really looks like one of the torture techniques from the book “Shock doctrine” by Naomi Klein.

“Shock doctrine” describes the brute tactic of systematically using the public’s disorientation following a collective shock—wars, coups, terrorist attacks, market crashes, natural disasters—to push through radical pro-corporate measures, often called “shock therapy.”

As it was easy predictable in yesterday’s post Westminster Magistrates Court in London did not grant a bail to Julian Assange, which means we are going into the most critical period to his life.

If he ever walks out from UK as a free man, it will probably be a result of the absolutely arrogant behavior of the United States in the case of the late Harry Dunn. UK, having a pride of an old Empire, could not grant extradition without reciprocal extradition of one Anne Sacoolas, a CIA operative and the wife of a US government employee working at the United States Air Force listening station at RAF Croughton.

On the other hand, with the shameful Monday verdict, UK set a precedent for the persecution of everyone who dares to reveal Imperial crimes.

Therefore, don’t get your hopes high. Even if Assange got his freedom again, the fight has just begun, and no one will be able to remain indifferent in that fight.
