I don't trust people who try to instill fear in me...because the easiest way to control and manipulate, is to instill fear ...
Revolution necessitates conflict.
Otherwise is would simply be ‘a movement’ , and not a revolution.
Revolution is the changing of the status quo through dynamic, swift, action - or perspective.
To conduct a successful revolution means a resolution of the conflict that's been created – it requires _an objective.
If there is no objective, there is no resolution - and thus, will have a tendency to go nowhere – peter out, or morph, into something that wasn't the initial point of the whole exercise.
Voltaire...
It’s always the case - of Status Quo versus Change.
The nature of the status quo within the hive ecosystem is oligarchical, and non-meritocratic - so the conflict occurs by calling out the said structure.
By calling out the oligarchical and non meritocratic system.
Hive is quite a unique model in some ways (and all blockchain social media).
You participate through posting your work - yet the ownership is immediately taken away from you , the very moment you commit it to the blockchain.
You do not have the right to delete your own property.
You do not have the right to decide what to do with your own property.
Ergo - it is NOT your own property any longer, but becomes some 'quasi property' of 'the commons'.
PROPERTY RIGHTS NO LONGER NOT APPLY.
It's not quite the 'you own your own material' as advertised on the tin - now is it?
How can you own it, without having sovereignty over it?
It's socialist/communist in it's nature, not individualistic.
WITHOUT THE SOVEREIGNTY OF PROPERTY, THERE IS NO FREE MARKET.
Without the sovereignty of property, there is only serfdom.
How's that 'ownership' looking now?
The technology itself, makes it a non negotiable contract.
The implementation of this technology means that it becomes more of a case of 'the tail wagging the dog'.
The technology (the tail) becomes the boss of your own content - not you.
DO YOU FIND THIS ACCEPTABLE?
I DO NOT...(as a side note, there are many people that I've spoken to, who have pointed this aberration out - and is a reason for them NOT joining block chain social media).
...As a tiny hive account holder, my voice is tiny – but it is a voice nonetheless.
Taking away stake size as being any indicator of a 'legitimacy of opinion' – my voice is equal to the largest stake holder here.
Think about it.
Equal, not lesser.
That is the same power that all accounts on Hive have .
A quick diversion...
...I’ve always maintained that communism can - and does - work. On a small scale. It does not, nor can ever – scale up successfully. (bureaucracy, corruption, nepotism etc).
And Hive is small scale (relative to other social media platforms on the internet).
Communism - in it’s purest form, and working on small scales, has power.
'The powers that be’...
TPTB - could see that as a threat. In Hive, TPTB are very difficult to recognize.
If not impossible.
Anonymity and multiple accounts can effectively act as smokescreen to hide any activities of TPTB - if they so wish.
For example how do you KNOW (not guess) that the whole ecosystem isn't controlled by 50 people, working closely together?
How do you know that this isn’t the case?
You cannot.
Fifty people with enough hive power and multiple accounts, could easily control the entire thing - from top to bottom.
Conspiracy theory? – Of course it is – and not one I necessarily believe to be true – but belief -or skepticism - in a hypothesis, changes nothing.
The fact that it is possible is enough to know.
The fact that it could be this way - is enough.
And there is no way to really ever find out the truth of the matter.
Trustless? ...hardly.
The reality of things .
The hardfork operation - away from steem, to hive - tells us lots...
‘Your account is your property’ – really? (That’s hopium at its finest, is it not?)
We've seen the exact opposite of this statement to be the case - watching it unfold in glorious technicolor, live on our screens.
Accounts CAN be blocked, eradicated, stolen, suspended – whatever.
The fact is - it CAN happen.
Chaos theory dictates that if it can happen – it will .
Understand what ‘ownership’ really means - and what it does not...('hopium' is a train wreck waiting to happen).
So, how to attack an entity to create change - one that is all smoke and mirrors...
Leverage.
Leverage is the one ‘weapon’ that the multitudes have against the oligarchs.
Strength in numbers, and all that...
No, I’m not a commie.
Coming together to use numbers as leverage is an extreme action, needed in extreme times, to adjust the balance of power – and is NOT a system of day to day politics – there is a huge difference.
'Confederation' as opposed to 'communism'.
Are these extreme times?
YES – as i see it - otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this post, would I? lol.
The oligarchs.
WHO are the oligarchs in Hive?
I could throw out a lot of names – but I’m not gonna.
We all have a pretty good idea.
That’s all for after February 2nd sometime, as I’ve mentioned.
(there are reasons for this date, things that I cannot divulge).
Don’t get me wrong, or misinterpret what I'm saying here - I think that there are ‘good’ oligarchs and ‘bad' oligarchs.
Oligarchs are people.
People are individuals.
Individuals all operate according to their own psychological makeup.
But 'Trusting the oligarch' is naivety at it's upmost...(and the opposite of a 'trustless' system).
'Power corrupts', as they say - and I’ve seen very few examples in real life, where that turned out not to be the case (myself included).
From the psychological perspective, I would hypothesize one step further...
The nature of computer technology - and the psychology behind the people that would find this field of endeavor attractive – is maybe the epitome of the people that are the worst suited to ever ‘having power’.
I can give you numerous actual examples that would add weight to my argument - information collected and then studied - numerous blogs and video material - and by applying statement analysis techniques, philosophy, and my understanding of psychology.
I may well be releasing this information at some point in the future.
The blockchain is laid out for all the world to see - behavioral psychologists included.
You have no choice but to offer yourself up to scrutiny.
How does that make you feel?
Naked?
Exposed?
It's all on the immutable blockchain, is it not?
How much do you value yourself?
How much self respect do you have for yourself ?
How much do you want to see change?
I’m lucky in this way – change has been THE constant in my life – my life has been a case of violent change for the last three decades or more. (‘violent’ meaning extreme action, lots of change of environments – not 'fisticuffs' or 'shootings').
Many people are not comfortable in this environment and are conflict averse as a result of an easy life.
I'm just one tiny voice on hive...It'll be interesting to see if TPTB fear what I have to say (or if they fear it at all) won't it?
Factoid:
I've changed an entire market through my endeavors before now. (previously -in the textile industry).
It was not intentional - in any way whatsoever.
It was an annual market of around 200 million dollars in value (probably nearer to $800 million in today's monetary value, I recon).
I was instrumental in the entire change of direction in a clothing style (two seasons).
It sounds stupid, I know - but my point of the story is this...
