A deadly disease outbreak by name cholera is now ravaging throughout Lebanon as it passed through from Syria now having a greater effect in lebanon.
Lebanon has warned that a deadly cholera outbreak is “spreading rapidly”, with cases rising after the virulent disease spread from neighbouring Syria. The outbreak in the economically devastated country, which has left at least five dead, is the first since 1993. Health officials have blamed the country’s financial and political struggles, which have left citizens with poor and crumbling sanitation infrastructure.source
This epidemic being on it's fast rising it's already causing havoc in the country as many cases of about 169 as at the sixth day of October according to the record given by the minister of health by name Firass Abiad. This adding to the second crises the country has faced lately which is the control of porous borders with neighbouring country which is Syria based on the unprecedented record of dealing with the precent economic challenge.
Giving a vivid report from the minister of health which is Abiad that the first case of cholera was seen in the state at the down hill of northern Lebanese region of Akkar. The patient according to report was been given much attention as regards to treatment knowing fully well of what will be the outcome to the entire country if much attention is not given .
Documentary holding it that Lebanon has been the housing areas of the refugees from Syria and that the Lebanese has been the hope of survival for these refugees before their economy went down the road. Noting the cause of this epidemic ravaging the country,it's worthy of note that most of these refugees are not been exposed to healthy living and as such are having difficulties in the assessment of good nutrition, good drinking water which is to the extent of them taking polluted water.
The rising case of this cholera outbreak if left unattended to, then is there a total shut down of not only the economic activities within the state but also the decrease in healthy, lifestyle and association. This drawing the attention of not only the neighbouring countries but also to the world entirely of what is onboard now and it's effect.
No country as at this moment is dreaming of a lockdown because of cholera but then should the necessary steps required for living healthy be implemented.
Thanks for stopping by.
