Warning: You may feel some things are surrealistic, improbable, or absurd but all is true. Remember, Cuba is under the control of a totalitarian state with the only objective of keeping the power at any cost. This report will show you the actual situation in Cuba, that one that the state propaganda tries to deny.

Politic
On September 7th, the Cuban Interior Ministry reported that 17 persons were arrested in an operation to shut down a recruitment operation that sent Cuban citizens to fight as mercenaries for the Russian army in the Ukraine war. The arrested people face possible convictions between 10 and 30 years. However, this action can’t prevent people from being recruited directly from Russia, this will need cooperation with the Putin regime, but it is unlikely that will happen because it can affect the process of recruitment of foreign mercenaries for his war.
At the same time, Ukrainian hackers leak the data and passports of at least 199 Cubans who are part of the Russian forces. In the hackers Telegram channel is posted the data of the Cuban mercenaries. Most of them have low incomes, for that reason is pretty sure affirm that somebody else pay the flights from Cuba to Russia. Ages of this group go from 18 years old the younger to 68 the older.

The Cuban regime has no declaration about what will happen with this almost 200 men and there is no official statement about the legal consequences for these people fighting in Russia as mercenaries. Theoretically should be processed under the same law as mercenaries, but this can produce political troubles because these individuals will get Russian citizenships if survive the war.
An interesting detail is that this news arises when the Cuban government is aspiring to be reelected for a seat in the UN Human Rights Council.
Economy
A bank official states that a high denomination issue is being finalized and will be available this September. Furthermore, he states that ATMs will return to normal, being available 24 hours a day, as they always were.

If the supply of raw materials is maintained, they hope to produce 800,000 packages of sanitary pads, an insufficient quantity but one that will help alleviate the needs of women in 7 Cuban provinces.
Social
Lack of medicines, high cost of food, and political repression are the constant in Cuba. When this fact change I will report it.
A group of residents of the Campuzano farm, in Jovellanos municipality, province of Matanzas, have been protesting against the local Electric Company for days because it would allegedly affect their drinking water service. In a Twitter (X) video you can see dozens of people gathered around an Electric Company truck and what appeared to be a water pumping station. The neighbors are trying to prevent that public officials and the Police from taking away the transformer located to pump the community's water because that would cause the loss of water supply for the locality.
The September 8th morning, the local activist Iván Hernández published the video of the pacific protest along with the following text: "Neighbors of the Campuzano farm in Carlos Rojas, Jovellanos, are on guard day and night to prevent the authorities of the Electric Company from taking away the transformer that they allows the supply of water, in an unprecedented protest since Wednesday."
