As an immigrant, it's frustrating to constantly hear the myths about the "lazy immigrant" who moves to rich western nations to take advantage of welfare, or about the criminal immigrant who moves to the west to steal from white middle class people. It's a myth, and it needs to stop.

This is a sensitive and complex topic where racial, economical and cultural aspects come together to paint a sometimes very ugly picture. What's frustrating for me is that I can understand why people feel resentment against immigrants and the government that allows them passage into "their" country, when they themselves aren't even taken care of. The story goes like this: how can we allow all these people in when we ourselves can't even pay the rent, can't pay for healthcare or education? Let's first get our own act together before taking on even more mouths to feed and bodies to house. The same argument is used against giving foreign aid. And I can understand people feeling that way, but at the same time those people have to be told that they're just wrong. They're barking up the wrong tree. The correct answer is always the same: there's more than enough wealth for everyone, immigrants included, it's just that the distribution of that wealth is all fucked up, and your real enemy isn't the poor immigrant who wants to make a better life for himself and his family, but the ones doing the fucked up distributing. If your wages are too low, don't complain about immigrants, go complain to your boss who actually pays your meager wages and complain to your political representatives who refuse to establish a federal living wage.
Have you ever noticed how the people making millions of dollars a year always try to convince those making hundreds of thousands a year that the ones making 30,000 a year are the real problem? If not, listen again to the arguments made by Republicans in America in reaction to Biden's student-loan debt forgiveness. If they can convince relatively well off people that the poor are to blame, then they know you won't pay attention to the rich. Unless that rich man is George Soros, of course, because he's one of the conspirators who actively change the demographics to make whites a minority. Okay, that was a rather sudden transitioning to the Great Replacement conspiracy theory, I'm sorry. But here we come to the racial and cultural aspects behind the "lazy immigrant" and "welfare queen" myth.
First let's acknowledge that most white countries will indeed become mixed race countries over time. That's just a fact and nothing will stop that. The planet has become a global village where people are able to travel thousands of miles in a couple of hours. The economy is globalized, not just as a function of capitalism, but simply because of technological progress; a mobile phone or a car needs resources found all over the world. Capitalism dictates that wages need to be as low as legally allowed, so we either move workers or production facilities. Those are all simple facts, no conspiracy theory needed. The great replacement or "white genocide" conspiracy theory is different and based in racism, white nationalism and white supremacy. This bonkers theory assumes malicious intent behind all the simple facts I've just listed, it's based on the ludicrous idea that whites are wiped out on purpose. It's all based on irrational fear, and allows white racists to take on a victim mentality resulting in, among other thongs, racist slogans like "White Lives Matter".
These "victims" use all kinds of dog-whistles; George Soros stands for "Jews" and they whine about "cultural" problems and differences, when they actually mean skin color. Even the economical argument mentioned at the start is used to disguise the racism underneath. And it furthers the notion that whites are victims of immigration, when the truth is that almost all studies show that immigration has a positive effect on the economy. In fact, the worst thing that can happen to any economy is to allow no immigration at all. Immigrants, even the illegal ones, often are the most hard working people you'll find. They have to be. And crime statistics are lower or the same among immigrants compared to the "indigenous" whites. If you're new in a country full of people you know little about, you work hard and try twice as hard to play by the rules. That's just common sense.
I'm not going to provide sources or studies here; if you're really interested in the facts, there's a ton of resources for you online, and Google is easy to use. Belief in white genocide is premised upon an unscientific, racist worldview, as is the belief that immigrants are lazy and come to rich countries just to take advantage of welfare. The Great Replacement Theory is in reality a theory by and for people with lazy minds, who only understand simple answers to complex questions.
