Greetings game dev community on hive!
I have 2 days left to polish up my game i am working on for the Farcade Game Jam.
I recently attended Farcon, a Warpcast crypto convention.
Warpcast is like the Eth version of a Hive social front end.
I didnt plan on going to this but did because i was hanging out with @xvlad
I met so many nice people there and was really impressed by the convention as a whole. I met the creator of Base (base layer 1 on eth). and he was super cool.
anyways, FARCADE is a website that hosts indie games, and when you share them on warpcast, you can play them embedded in the feed.
its a brilliant idea. imagine this for hive.
i took their stock game, a 2d tunnel runner and made it 3d with special effects.
This website is amazing. you can test the game on your phone simply by scanning a qr code

i submitted the game, and got feedback from the mods. this is awesome so that the platform does not get flooded with shitty games!
I stopped where i was with the game because it seemed like everything i was going was breaking the game. granted, i was up till 4 am working on it so maybe my brain was just shutting down.
Im going to examine the code and very carefully explain to the AI what i want it to do. this is how you properly vibe code. you kind of should already know what you want to code and just use the AI to type it out for you.
it might be a little early to be posting about this since the games not done but i wanted to share this in case anyone here in the community wanted to participate in the game jam
the moon and the obstacles that you dodge are my hand drawn textures. so its really cool you can do that. the external files are held on the website and you give the ai agent a link to them for it to plug into the game.
the devs who made this are killing it and i hope them the greatest of success. i met them at farcon and they were so happy about how excited i was about this. by far the best thing i've ever seen in crypto. hive community take notes! this is legendary. lets use DHF funding to make something creative like this!
im a little but more tech savey than someone who has never vibe coded before so i knew how to clone the repo and put it into my own version of cursor which i had just bought another month of use for, for $20. i made huge progress on skatehive app and now i gotta get my moneys worth and win this game jam!
there are custom voice over sounds with my own voice, that dont seem to play on mobile. on desktop they play and the game its super hilarious. when i get the game published, ill share it in a comment to this post.
