Darker Days Are Here
The shorter, darker and wetter days are here. This weekend will see the end of the British Summer Time which will give the impression of even darker days. Having said that, it's still unusually warm for the time of year. It has been like that this year. I saw up to 16ºC on my thermometer today, as confirmed by the weather app on my iPhone.
Apparently there's also a eclipse tomorrow (Saturday). I wonder if I'm going to be able to see that. I hardly see these things here because of all the clouds that always conveniently move in to block celestial events. And, talking of clouds, they touched the ground in my area this morning. The misty atmosphere and cobwebs made for a nice spooky Halloweenesque vibe.
Talking of Halloween, many establishments have put up their decorations for the weekend since the children will be out in force. Halloween falls on a Tuesday this year, after school re-opens from half term, so this Saturday and Sunday will probably see ost of the Halloween events. I'm sure the families will still come knocking on Tuesday evening though, so I have to remember to buy some sweets.
Non of the gloom or downpours have stopped me from going on my daily walk, of course. I managed about 8km today, according to my smartwatch. Not too shabby.
Peace & Love,
Adé
