Hello 2023
Happy New Year!
I no longer make resolutions. I used to make them a long time ago, not because I wanted to, but probably because I thought they were a part of transitioning into the new year. Everyone else did it, so I guess I was dragged along with tradition? That was when I was much younger and not as free-thinking.
These days I create goals and targets, and outline steps and tasks to get me there. It's a great way, if anything, to measure growth and change. It's important to recognise that we have creative power. I used to think people that talked like that were just woo-woo new age type people. Now I totally understand that it's the way the world works.
No matter how you do it; pray, meditate, plan and create repetitive steps, you are focusing your creative mind on a an end goal and the "universe" is bending to your will. There are always infinite possibilities of anything happening. What you are doing is influencing what actually happens by selecting the factors that make it more likely your end goal is the reality that comes to pass.
I asked the Internet a few days ago for something to watch on Netflix. They suggested "Warrior Nun". I'd seen it recommended to me by the Netflix algorithm several times, no doubt based on my previous viewing activity, but never payed it much attention. I'd also seen some kerfuffle about the show having been pulled from Netflix prematurely. I didn't want to invest time in a show that would only lead to disappointment in the end. Due to the number of people that recommended it, however, I decided to give it a go.
At first, it seemed like they typical eye candy viewing featuring attractive, mostly young, people with supernatural powers. Those powers are often derived from some scientific accident, genetic mutation, exposure to radiation, extra-terrestrial origin or, like in the Warrior Nun, supernatural in nature. However, it isn't just kung-fu fighting demons, angels and chosen ones, it's much deeper than that. There's blasphemy, heresy, woke-ism, and so on. I suspect these may be major contributions to the social media noise about this show as it appears to have triggered people politically.
What I enjoy so far about the show (I am close to the end now), is the fact that it's relatively faithful to theology and science. A little theological, especially Abrahamic, knowledge as well as knowledge of quantum physics, make the show exponentially more enjoyable to watch! It touches on the power of prayer, meditation, focusing of ones "intensions" and strong desires and how that could bring about reality. It touches on the laws of probability, quantum teleportation and the multiverse. Delicious stuff.
Bringing it back, in 2023, I'm going to be utilising this very law of nature a lot more. We can all do it - manifesting, as it's sometimes referred to. Programming of our subconscious, which is responsible for most decisions we make actually, to make those decisions that will bring to being the strongest (good) desires of our hearts. Sadly it works for bad desires too. That's where they meditation, prayer, diligent planning, e.t.c, come in.
Let's create the 2023 that we want shall we? Happy New Year 🙌
Peace & Love,
Adé
