Strawberry Supermoon Tonight
Wowzers! Would you look at that blue sky!?
I've already seen the moon at 99% full last night, pink and bright in the night sky. There was still a blueish hue, being close to the summer solstice, so it was an interesting bleed of colours between the moon and the sky. I tried taking a photo with my phone, but it was past the limitations of such a device. I don't have any telephoto lenses handy, sadly.
The actual event is today, the 14th, and I'm pleased to see that the sky is clear, and is predicted to stay clear for the moonrise. Usually we get clouds that block these celestial events. The Strawberry Supermoon will rise over London at 22:52 tonight.
I'm tempted to find a hill where I can clearly see the moonrise without obstruction. I envy people on the coast right now. Today would have been a perfect day to still be on Fuerteventura. The view would be insane. Oh well.
Peace & Love,
Adé
