Hi, Hivers and members of EcoTrain!
This is my first post in the community. I came here encouraged by the Dreemport Challenge. And without much ado, I'm going to answer this week's question about our connection with Nature and how it is important to us.
Connecting with nature is something natural in the human being. We are part of nature. So being in harmony with nature is to be connected with a part of ourselves.
In my opinion, someone who is not in harmony with nature and his environment is not complete.
For me, one of the most sublime moments to connect with nature is with the sea. I am a sea person even though I live surrounded by mountains.
And perhaps, the favorite moment is at sunset. Watching the sun go down over the sea is an energizing spectacle. Like the photo at the top of this post, at Playa Arapito, in the state of Sucre, in Venezuela.

Looking at the immensity of the sea has always filled me with energy. The sea breeze relieves my worries, at least momentarily. And the sound of the waves is music to my ears. The sea is a caress for my soul.
And as I write about what the sea can make me feel, I can't stop thinking about that beautiful poem called Regreso al Mar (Return to the Sea) by a Venezuelan poet called Andres Eloy Blanco, from which I quote:
fue siempre el mar donde mejor te quise;
al amor, como al mar, no hay quien lo alise
ni al mar , como al amor, quien lo modere.
it was always the sea where I loved you best;
love, like the sea, no one smoothes it out
nor the sea, like love, who moderates it.
But while I love the sea, I also have a deep respect for it, not fear but caution about its power.
And although I have declared myself a person of the sea, as I said, the mountains surround where I live. And how not to feel connected to their immensity.
Just looking at the Avila is an everyday reminder of how amazing nature is. I only have to look out the window or take a short walk from my house to see this image on a clear day.

And if when you are on your way home, you see these Acacias in bloom. How can not feel connected with their colorful?

And how can I not feel in awe of how amazing nature is when I see a macaw perched on a roof or a balcony. Or when a flock of them soar through the sky.

Maybe my favorite experiences with nature are, as I said at the beginning, with the sea. But I feel so grateful to be able to enjoy an encounter with nature every day in one way or another. To feed on it and to appreciate every day the beauty that surrounds us and that is so close to us.
This is my post to this week's EcoTrain Community question.
