Welcome to this fourth installment of the QOTW for Season 8, all about ACTION! This week I offer you a simple statement to react to... "If Not You Then Who? If Not Now Then When?" This weeks question is asking you what you think is the reason(s) why so many people are not taking action on issues that are important. I am not asking about any specific issue, but rather WHY you think that most people seem to wait for some kind of disaster to happen before they do something about it. We could be speaking about just about anything really, and that includes things like Climate Change, Health, Pollution, and many more issues besides. Why do you think people generally wait until there is a major problem before they take action? Clearly it would be better to avoid serious problems by pre-emting them and taking action before there is a major issue, and yet how many of us really do it?

Perhaps you think that people are just too busy to deal with anything that is not urgent? Maybe this is just human nature? Is this the case for all places, or do some cultures take care of things before they are serious issues. Japan for example might be a country that doesn't do this, a very disciplined country indeed. What do you think the reason for this is? Maybe it's our education system, how we are brought up, or .. something else!

I let you decide if you wish to speak about your own personal issues, or people you know. You can speak much more generally also, and discuss humanity as a whole. As always it's up to you to frame this question and answer it in any way that you feel is appropriate. What is the first thing that comes to mind when you read the words If Not You Then Who? If Not Now Then When?
