Welcome to this second Question Of The Week for Season 9! This week we try to make sense of the world and way it works. This world is full of happiness and also suffering. Nature itself is ruthless, we only have to watch predators in action to witness the sheer primal nature that is life. Did someone make us? Did someone make this? If there is a God and s/he is so wonderful and good, then why create all this suffering? This is a deep question, and it requires a spiritual outlook to really answer it!
There is no logical answer to any question concerning God, so let us hear what you think! There are some people who refuse to even believe in God due to the amount of suffering there is in the world. The famous UK actor and comedian Stephen Fry has shared many time this very notion and has had a a good debate on TV. Stephen is an atheist for this very reason. So if you too are an atheist then you are invited to answer this question without having to believe there is a God. Either way the question stands, which is why it is written IF there is a God. If you do not believe in God for this reason please do share about that instead.
