Today I will discuss some of the harmful aspects of smoking.
Although I'm not a doctor. But there are some detrimental aspects that we all know more or less about. We all know but no one is aware of that. But sometimes if you look at some conscious writing, if a few are aware. That is the purpose of my blogging post.
So let's go back to the original context..
Smoking is a kind of poison. We are drinking poison knowingly. Only smokers are exposed to that poison. But it is not. At the same time, non smokers are also being attacked. Smokers are polluting the environment and affecting the people around them.Smoking pollutes the air. And that air enters our lungs through breathing and infects us.
Those who have been smoking for a long time. That is, those who have become addicted to smoking. They have unknowingly compromised their own lungs.Although smokers do not understand this, because there is no way to see the damage to the lungs from the outside!
A big proof of that is my father.I am sorry to say that my father also a smoker. But he has lungs problem. I always suggest or talk him to give up smoking. But he don't accept my suggest .
About few years ago, I took him a hospital to show a doctor. The doctor also suggest him, to give up smoking. But he smokes two or three packet cigarette pack daily. The doctor also showed us affected lungs scenery in X- ray report. As a result, I often see that my father is caughing.
Smoking narrows the blood vessels in our body. When it becomes narrow, various complications occur later. The risk of heart attack, stroke is greatly increased.
The doctor also told us that even if long-term smokers quit smoking, it takes years for the lungs to clear up again! The lungs return to their previous state!Moreover, the doctor said to my father, it is never possible for us to bring back the part that was damaged. But if you quit smoking, the rest will be fine.
Another thing is that every packet is leveled, smoking causes cancer. Some packets re-write that smoking is the leading cause of death. But we smoke knowingly.
But when we go to the market, to buy daily necessities. If any curry, fish, meat or our essentials are written, this product is the cause of cancer. What will be the situation then? Think about it! We will beat the shopkeeper to death.
And we will not buy such products knowingly. But it is written on the packet of each cigarette. Even pictures of infected lungs are given. Even then we smoke. We are truly educated in modern education. So we are a little more aware.
We have a proverb in the rural areas of Bangladesh. That is, some sell milk and drink alcohol, and some sell alcohol and drink milk. "কেউ দুধ বেচে মদ খায়, আর কেউ মদ বেচে দুধ খায়।"
Finally, let's all quit smoking. We keep ourselves healthy and keep other family members healthy too. We keep our environment healthy. With the combined efforts of all, a smoke-free world was built.
