Happy Sunday Hivers!
The long queues at the water refilling station and in the area with hand pumps had become the normal scenarios that we'd seen daily after the supertyphoon Odette hit some parts of the Philippines including Cebu. I lived in the City therefore, I was one of those unlucky person because we had suffered scarcity of water may it be for drinking or for the household use. That time I realized that we can survive without foods for few days but not without clean water in just a day.
I remember how I suffered LBM for few days because I drank water from the tap. That time, I wished that my stomach is not that sensitive so I won't suffer that pain.
Water is vital in our existence. Without it, we can't live longer because our body needs to keep hydrated. Lack with water makes the body organs won't function well. It means we can't survive without water.
I went to Tuburan Cebu few weeks ago and my driver/tour guide told me that they were lucky because they are abundant of water. He shared to me that they have never experienced of water scarcity because they have lots of spring within Tuburan area. In fact, he showed to me one of the locals' sources for their drinking water.
We descended this stairs and headed where the spring water is located. It is located in a secluded place. We walked few meters away from the stairs before we arrived in the spring water.
After we descended the stairs, I slowly sighted the water below. I was doubtful if that was really the spring water that the driver have mentioned earlier because when you're from afar it seems the water is not drinkable. I was too judgmental.
We went closer to the water and I asked the driver, are you sure they drink water from this? It looks dirty.
The driver explained to me that I can find the spring water from the 2 holes. The water there is very clean. Undoubtedly, I came closer to the holes. Have you seen the two holes?
As I almost reached to the holes, I've noticed that the water became clear and clean.
I peeked inside the hole as I reached right in front of it. The spring water was really clear and very clean.
We can't find like this in the City, somehow I felt envy to the inhabitants there because unlike from the City they still be able to drink water from the spring. They can have it by themselves anytime they want and they can assure that the water they will be drinking is from the spring and it only went from a natural process.
What's in my mind that time was we should not ruin the natural resources because the nature supplies everything we need.
Have you tried to drink water thru hand scooping from the spring? The coldness and the taste of the water was absolutely great. Have you tried it? Drop a comment below.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
