Since I launched my Hive Forest - Adopt a Tree for Charity eight days ago I've been overwhelmed by the generosity and support from many people. What started off as something to kill boredom during lockdown has turned into a fundraising initiative on Hive for the Alzheimers Society. I'm pleased to announce that all 60 trees in my Hive Forest have now been adopted, with @eco-alex adopting the last 5 trees yesterday.
We raised 180 Hive from the donations of which 90% will be donated to the Alzheimers society via @nickyhavey's 2020km Challenge. In addition, some of you donated extra funds on top of the 3 Hive adoption fee, plus the post payout from my first post, in total we have raised a fantastic superpops amount of
176.10 Hive and 48.89 HBD

What next?
- First of all I wanted to do this audit post as transparency is very important when funds are involved. All the transactions can be found in my wallet
- Once all funds are received I will transfer 176.10 Hive and 48.89 HBD to @nickyhavey

- Raffle draw, yeah!!! Not that the 27 kind people adopted a tree for the 18 Hive raffle prize, but it's always nice to have something to look forward to. I want to do the raffle draw in a video, for transparency purposes again, as the prize money belongs to everyone and you have a right to ensure that the draw is done in a fair way. I will do this in the next few days as I have some logistic issues to sort out first.
- When I first talked about what to do with my Hive Forest, @riverflows suggested that I could finish the event with a ceromonial burn. I love this idea so I'm going to cleanup my outdoor terrace first to do the ceremonial burn. Having been in lockdown for two months, I also neeed to make myself look presentable on video 😊.
