Greetings Hivers,
Today I will show you how we used the broken wood from our old house that was damaged during the storm. Because it will take a long time for us to rebuild the house due to the financial problems, we just thought of using the lumber to make chicken and pig coops so that it won't be wasted.
Just a few flashbacks photos of the day after the typhoon
It's because the wood we got when we dismantled the house was piled up, we used it to extend the pigsty and hubby even made an additional chicken coop.
These are the cages he made. It's all made of recycled wood and nails that we removed from the house. And because dressed chickens are so expensive today, he also made up for the shortage of the vantress chicks that we bought to rise for our personal consumption. In this way, we grow it cheaper and we can assure that it has only less chemical consumption while growing.
Since vantress chicken always needs light to feed their selves to grow faster we place the cage at the back of our parent's house where there is access to the light.
Certainly, we just have to be really creative to get meaningful results. So far we have not been able to get up from the tragedy we encountered but our pet chickens have a new home and it will also reduce my headache for keep on sabotaging my plants.😅
