First of all, I hope you all watched the Danny Shine video in the original post here. I love Danny Shine's material. He just says it as it is. I've had the honor of meeting him in 2017, at my first ever Steemfest, and he's one of those people that leave an impact. Whilst some people might think he's just a nutter screaming on a megaphone, I believe he's one of the most real people I know. I guess a lot of people just don't like hearing the truth...
So now to the question. I think I can make this a really short answer, or a really long one. For me, that is.
So let's have a look to see what I think.
Too many people in the world...or are there?
There's a lot to say about that. According to some people, there are. Or rather: there aren't enough resources on earth. I don't know if it's true. It could be. Or it couldn't. What I do know, however, is this:

Now, one has to ask how come that while hundreds of millions of people are on the brink of starvation, and many more are suffering, millions more lost jobs and businesses this past year, while these guys just got richer? This may be for another day but what can be mentioned today, is that, without a doubt, a handful of these billionaires could put an end to most of the suffering, and still have enough money to drive their Tesla, and float around on their yacht.
They don't. They're greedy. And don't even give me that bullshit about 'how good some of them are, how they give away money to the needy, philanthropy blah blah...' Because they only do that for tax reasons. And to be hailed a hero by millions of people, not from the goodness of their hearts...
Should we have (more) children?
Well, for me that ship has sailed. I have 4. I contributed.
But the short answer from my side is YES. Absolutely.
Why - You ask?
Simple. Because even though there are a lot of billionaires and millionaires who are selfish, some of us, and definitely some of our children, could one day end up in that Forbes magazine. And if you raise your children any way like I raise mine, then they will spend a good share of their money, and time, on truly doing good. They will put the Elon Musks, the Jeff Bezos' and Oprah Winfreys to shame because they've been taught to love their fellow humans, and that sharing is more than just caring. It will be second nature to them, wanting to help others and make good friends along the way. No, love and friendship, and loyalty can't be bought. But it can be earned.
So what if I don't become rich?
Well then, we'll have taught our children that sharing can mean something else too. Sharing time with those more needy, with the sick, can be valuable too. Although I'd love to have a huge stack of money, I really don't care much for it at all. It's something that's needed at this moment. But if it were up to me, I'd much rather see a world where people live together, building communities, growing food, without the exchange of money.
And that, too, can be taught.
So whether our children become millionaires, or billionaires, or not, as long as they learn to share & care, I believe we have a good chance that the world will become a better place.
What do you think?
