Relationship goals vary from person to person. But no one wants to be in a toxic relationship for sure. As long as you are happy in a relationship and everything is going well, you never question whether or not it's toxic. But once, there arises something it makes us uncomfortable.
There are many signs of toxic relationships and ways to identify them. many times we are well aware of the situation but try to deny it or are not ready to accept the truth. That's when we make the situation worse. As I was saying, it's not hard to tell if you are in a toxic relationship. But let's see some sign so we don't miss identifying it in an early stage.
When you see the base of the relationship is falling down that's when you know you are going through a toxic relationship. That means-
- You will have problematic communication.
- You will not support each other the way you meant to.
- You will fight/argue rather than having a conversation to solve issues.
- You will not trust each other and will try to control.
- You will not feel loved/safe/secure to be in the relationship.
- You will not take care of yourself and blame each other for everything.
- You will be disrespectful and will be passive-aggressive.
The thing is, most of the time we know we are in a toxic relationship but we are not sure when you move out or sit to resolve. I would say, questioning ourselves is the biggest step we can make. Cross-check with your values, understanding, and belief. See if it's conflicting and will never resolve, notice how much you can compromise. And then go for solutions.
I always believe, one way or another we all know 'what's is wrong in our relationship.' Make the right move to be happy in life!
