I guess, we all have a good idea of what we need to respect thyself and what would be the consequence if we don't have any self-respect. What I understand is, self-respect is the starting point of self-improvement, self-love, and valuing thyself. How our life would be if we don't respect ourselves?
But it's true sometimes we struggle to have self-respect. Maybe because of our guilty feeling, maybe because of a bad choice we made. We have to approve that no matter what happens, self-respect is essential. Let's see how can we improve that?
Always say to yourself, 'you are a good person'. You know humans are good in general. We all are. It's okay to make a mistake or do something wrong. But it's necessary to realize and current that. And more importantly, it's necessary to think positively about ourselves. Never think you are a bad person.
We don't need other's validation on this. Yeah, people will make you feel bad, worse, and gives you negative vibes. But remember, you don't need other's validation to believe what you are. Be consistent to improve yourself but never care much about what others think about you.
Identify what you are. Point out what you want, what mistakes you have made, what you need to learn, change, and improve. Identify what you really are and work on it to improve yourself. If you don't know who you are you may not decide what you need to improve yourself.
We all can't be the same good. There will be many 'holes' in our life. But that shouldn't fragile our self-respect. This is essential to grow, value thyself, and live spontaneously. I hope this simple technique can help anyone to improve self-respect and respect them more than before, no matter what they are.
