The days are getting shorter now and I am feeling the call to extend my growing season into the winter. So, does anyone here have experience with polytunnels? Am thinking to buy the one displayed above (6m in length) which permits me to open up the sides in the summer. I was expecting them to be more expensive so may even get two. One for growing plants, one for growing warm children ;)
Still have some work to do on this land however! It isn't quite ready for tunnels yet...
I wonder if some livestock might do the trick more effectively than a strimmer?
Three days ago @riverflows posted a picture of her husband's very fine construction work and I am left wondering if perhaps there are disadvantages to buying cheap flat pack designs?

As for the chickens I intend to start with just a few and see how it goes. We can fence off the area so they will be free to roam, but at night they must be locked away for safety. I have seen first hand what happens here when rodents are able to dig their way in. Not pretty. And a little bit sad if I'm going to be honest. I felt like they were my friends.
So, I was thinking about something like this. Impossible to dig through the bottom.
Thoughts anyone?
I suspect lots of you out there have plenty of experience with this :)
