Community takes on many forms. Perhaps one of the most important factors, is the connections we make and the vision we share. It is also something that changes and evolves over time. Bringing up things that need to resolved, things that we may have been avoiding in the past. It is inevitable, that we become faced with situations or experiences that trigger us and how we react to those , that will determine our growth.
Forming community, goes through different stages, as we learn where our place is, what our role will be. In the beginning we may try our hand at many different things as we find our most comfortable fit. It is a time when f exploring, both what we want and how we see ourselves achieving it.

Because we have our own individual vision of what we want and then, we have the shared vision, from the community as a whole. Finding a balance between the two is what matters the most. Being able to meet your needs, whilst also meeting the needs of the community. Quite the balancing act, until you settle into the flow and it becomes the most natural thing in the world.
I have thought long and hard, about what my vision of community would be.
I have been a very active member the local collective/community for the last 2 years now and I have had the opportunity, to observe both my strengths and my weaknesses. Identifying what I need to work on, in order to best serve my vision and the overall collectives vision.
There are certain things that I deem very important, if I am to share community with others, especially if we are to come together and share land. I am currently working on my vision for such a community with some members of the collective. We wish to attain some land higher up in the mountains, which will have its own water source.
But first, we each have to be clear about what our expectations are. So we will meet this week to discuss it. I know that I need to have my own space and do not wish to live communally with anyone. I already know that the others feel the same way. We also wish to be self sufficient.
I wish to have my own space, where I can create the life both my girls and I need in order to thrive. A space where we can explore our passions, whilst also living in harmony with the earth. This includes creating a mushroom farm, and also opening up a space where we can take in neglected animals.
I would of course need to have land to grow food on and also for a food forest, but the food forest could be a communal project. Having communal land is also really important, for growing grains, and certain vegetables that require more space, like potatoes and corn for example.
I would love to be able to grow hemp as well, as it is such a versatile plant, with so many amazing properties and uses.
When we make plans, it is so important to leave space for growth and extension if necessary. Any space I acquire on a piece of land, would need to be able to accommodate friends of mine who wish to come and visit, or who need a place of respite.
My overall vision for the community is to create a haven of sorts, for myself and my girls and those in my tribe. A place of learning and discovery, where you can connect with nature and deepen your connection with self. I wish to build community with people, who desire to up-skill themselves and then share those skills with others.
Who are also willing to open up the whole community, to offer healing for both other people and for the earth itself. In the way of celebration and offering workshops. It is important to me, that the community gives back, so that we can continue to receive!
You need to be very clear, about what it is you wish to manifest and create in life. When our collective first formed, some of us talked about acquiring land in which to live on. But it never happened, I can now see, that we were not ready. That each of us had some more learning to do and also exploring to do, so that we could be very clear in our vision.
